"No… n-no…" Lloyd pressed himself against the couch, covering his head with the pillow again.
"No… n-no…" Lloyd pressed himself against the couch, covering his head with the pillow again.
(Did Stormy leave?)
Lillian whispered softly, "I want to help you, but I need to know how. Tell me how I can help you."
(Maybe?)
"S-Sam… he's… h-he's… Sam's dead…" Lloyd gasped for breath, his throat closing up and he slowly growing incoherent.
Lillian looked at him, "Sam? Who's Sam? Lloyd you need to stay with me."
"Sam… S-Sam was m-my best friend… the… the l-lightning… i-it got him…"
Lillian looked at him, "Oh Lloyd. I don't even know half of what you've been through, but I can promise the lightning won't hurt anyone here."
(STORMY LEFT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE KISS FOR REALS?!)
(NOT COOL DUDE! NOT COOL!)
Lloyd drew his knees up to his chest, sobbing. "A-All the worst things happen when it's storming! S-Sam got k-killed, my p-parents fought and hit me, and…" His eyes widened with a realization, and his breath caught in his throat. "It… i-it was storming the night I was taken…" He whispered barely audibly.
Lillian just nodded and rubbed his knee, "That's the past. Maybe we need to make good memories in the storm?"
He just shook his head, trembling and pulling the blanket over his head. I hate storms! They're just unlucky, and horrible! And… and… I dunno… I can't think straight…
Lillian looked at Lloyd. She didn't know what else to do.
(No like seriously help me. I'm emotionally stunted and can't comfort people. It's a problem.)
(Lmao)
"We… we couldn't make g-good memories because they'd all get ruined by the stupid storm!" A particularly loud clap of thunder made Lloyd cry out in fear and hit his head on the wooden base of the couch.
Lillian looked at Lloyd, "Are you okay?"
Lloyd hissed in pain, rubbing his head but nodding weakly. He ran off to the bathroom, partially because he was afraid and it muffled some sound and also because he had to throw up again.
Lillian sighed walked over and sat outside the bathroom door. She could hear Lloyd retching into the toilet.
(AND STORMY DITCHED MID-KISS! NOT COOL!)
(SCREW STORMY!)
"J-Just go to school with Darren… I'll… I-I'll be fine once the storm blows over…" Lloyd brushed tears from his eyes. Stupid, stupid, stupid… this is all your fault… they're stuck here because you're scared of a little rain and some thunder… you're weak… "T-This is all my fault, I… I-I shouldn't be forcing you or Darren to deal with me j-just because I'm weak…"
Lillian said to Lloyd, "You're not weak Lloyd. You are really strong, I won't leave you in this state."
"I am weak… I-I'm sick and I'm scared of a bit of stupid rain…" The tears fell from his eyes, and his voice cracked. "I-I'm sorry, Lillian…" He whispered, his soft and broken voice echoing off the walls.
Lillian let out a small sigh, "I-I'm the weak one. I can't even stand up to my own parents. I need others to take care of my problems. You face your owns Lloyd, take matters into your own hands. That's strength."
"B-But I'm… I-I'm supposed to be so much stronger than I am… I was trained for battle, a-and now look at me… crumbled and shattered to pieces by human illnesses, memories of the past, and some storm… I…" He drew in a wavering breath. "I-I'm scared, Lily…"
Lillian smiled, "And that's okay. If everyone were perfect, than the world would be awful. We have our highs and lows, this is jut a low for you. There is only one way to go after all."
