“So?”Lillian laughed, “Is that a bad thing?”
“As long as I don’t let it go to my head and make me think I’m the king,”

“As long as I don’t let it go to my head and make me think I’m the king,”
She sighed heavily. "You can go in, I need a minute."
“I won’t. But if I do then I’m the queen. Hmmmm.”
“I won’t. But if I do then I’m the queen. Hmmmm.”
“You’re always the Queen,”
She sighed heavily. "You can go in, I need a minute."
He didn’t want to have to go without her, “Okay, I’ll be just inside okay?”
"Mhmm, got it." She was barely listening, her hands fidgeting and a loose thread on her shirt.
“Hey, What’s wrong?” He almost went in but stopped.
"Nothing, it's nothing." She could feel her panic rising. Her thoughts were already a mess, this wasn't helping.
“Belle,” he reached to grab her hand. “What’s going on?”
"Nothing, really, I'm fine." She stepped back, almost scared.
“Belle, I…” he couldn’t leave her now. “Look at me,”
She forced her eyes up to look at him, her mind desperately trying to find an escape.
He focused his eyes on her, “Just breath,”
She took a few deep breaths, thankful she managed to keep them from shaking. "I'm fine, really. I just need a minute to myself."
Ryan nodded, honestly just feeling down and pathetic at this point he gave in. “Alright, I’m going,” he sighed and went inside.
She sighed in relief and headed around to the back of the building. A familiar figure was stood there and she did not look pleased. "Are you kidding me??" "Hanna I-" "Shut your mouth! How many times have I warned you against this?" "Hanna please if you'd just listen-" Her sentence was cut off by a violent slap to the face. "I said shut up! I've already been going crazy trying to keep them off your back and now this? You get a week. Get rid of him or I will." Hanna growled, landing a sick punch to the face, giving her a quickly bruising black eye before stalking off. Belle sank to the ground, sobbing.
Ryan slunk back by the stage, sitting in the audience and feeling like a pathetic asshole for leaving Belle out there alone.
A week, only a week. She only sobbed harder. She didn't want to leave him, she'd promised.
"I can't," He said under his breath as he stood back up and walked outside. Since then the snow had picked up, the white that surrounded his eyes made it hard to see his surroundings but he had changed his mind, he wouldn't leave her alone. "Belle?" He called into the air, the sound only echoing back to him and he tried to see through the snow, "Belle! Where are you?"
She heard him and her heart stung. She couldn't respond without bursting into tears. Her sobs only grew louder, she only hoped he could hear her.
And suddenly he could hear everything down to the beat of her hear against the snow. His senses kicked into high gear as he ran to her, he kept going until he could smell her, the air around him smelled only of her. She was his only focus even as he stood above her, "Belle," he knelt down, "Belle what happened to you?"
She looked up slightly, her right eye bruised darkly, a growing red handprint growing on her left cheek.
Both of his hands gripped her cheeks, "Who did this?" He cried as he looked around frantically like they might still be here,"
She shook her head lightly. "I can't say."
He sighed, taking a mental note to press on that matter later, "Are you okay?"
