Luena sat in the drama department's costume room. Relishing the quiet while she still could before rehearsal would begin. The school was in an uproar after the landslide victory against McKinley last night, but Luena couldn't care less. Luena glanced at her phone, looking at the costume ideas the director forwarded to her.

The sun was bright on the walk to school, almost blinding. Darren shoved sunglasses over his eyes and jogged to school in hopes that maybe today he wouldn't be late. He entered his first class 3 seconds after the bell rang however his teacher didn't seem to notice. Phew! He took a seat and looked around the room as he slouched further down in his chair until he reached max lounging position. He never realized how many of the theater kids were in his classes until now. Two desks up from him sat Lillian who was too focused on her script to notice class was starting. He saw Stormy and Paige who also only sat a few seats away from him…

Darren was startled out of his typical daydreaming when Adam Azimio, another football player, placed a firm hand on his shoulder. "Hey bro! Awesome game last night! We really showed those McKinley nerds who's boss!" Darren laughed and nodded

Lillian was running through scripts. She heard some of the football guys talking behind her, she rolled her eyes. They're always over excited after a game. She honestly wished they would score less touchdowns, then she could maybe play less. Yeah she played trombone, got a problem with that?

Luena fell onto her back, choosing to stare at the ceiling. Her second block started in… Luena peeked at her phone. An hour or so. Luena pulled off her hoodie (revealing a plain shirt that was designed to look like Deadpool's torso) and put it under her head as a makeshift pillow. Luena drifted into sleep

Paige sat down in her first-period class, alone. Jana had physics, Carissa had gym, and Michelle had geometry. She noticed a girl reading the script for the theater play. I shouldn't have chickened out, she thought ruefully.

Stormy winced as he heard one of the jocks behind him. "Watch out nerd!" The guy yelled, walking past Stormy's desk and banging against his chair. Stormy ignored him and instead put his earbuds in and turned his music up loud.

Paige recognized a boy in front of her from the theater group. A guy that Paige recognized from the football team - Alek she thought his name was - banged into his chair. "Watch out nerd!" he yelled, loud enough for the whole classroom to hear. She couldn't see the boy's reaction, but she stood up quickly. Her chair shrieked in protest against the floor.
"You got a problem?" she snarled.

"Just forget about it Paige." Stormy mumbled, used to being bullied.

"No," Paige stepped out into the aisle. "What's your problem?" she asked again fiercely. (Is someone going to do the guy or should I just do him?)

Lloyd sat in his science class attentively, nodding his head occasionally as he listened to the teacher's lecture. Most of his classmates had fallen asleep at this point, bored by formulas and the periodic table, but Lloyd found the material fascinating. Science had always been his favorite subject, but he rather disliked many of his classmates.
