"I'm Lloyd Windsor, by the way. Apparently I'm playing…" He glanced at the paper. "Riff?"
"I'm Lloyd Windsor, by the way. Apparently I'm playing…" He glanced at the paper. "Riff?"
"Yeah. I'm Stormy Chambers playing Bernardo" said Stormy.
"I'm Raven Carter, playing Chino," She said.
Luena nodded, before pushing her glasses back up her nose.
"I should probably get going." Luena lied smoothly, quickly moving to leave.
She walked away, but once she was out of sight, she sprinted.
Lillian looked at Darren, "You good?"
//so ha my child has said nothing for three pages
"yeah I guess… didn't expect to get a lead that's all…"
//so ha my child has said nothing for three pages
(What???)
"I'm not all that surprised," Lillian responded, "You fit the role well."
"Yeah, you were good, Darren. I'm pretty glad I don't have a lead though. It would make me really anxious."
"But you have a lead role?" Lillian looked at him confused.
"It doesn't say so on the sheet… it says Darren's the lead, and I'm just Riff."
"The lead means he is the main character of the story," Lillian rolled her eyes, "Riff is just as important as Maria or Tony."
Lloyd's heart started racing. "Oh god… well, guess I'm screwed then, huh?"
"You'll do fine Lloyd," Lillian reassured him, "You techies do more work than any of the actors."
"Yeah, but we're not on stage! I've never acted before!" He was getting increasingly more anxious.
"Then why did you get on stage?" Lillian asked him, "If you've done it once, you can do it again."
"I got on stage because I panicked! She called me up, and I didn't know what to do, so I just… I-I dunno, went up?"
(im back)
"You'll do great Lloyd. Plus I think we all got a little anxiety on stage except for maybe Lillian here." Stormy said.
Lloyd started pacing a bit. "Why would I do this to myself?! Stupid… stupid, stupid!"
Paige, Jana, Carissa, and Michelle walked up to the list. Paige saw Darren's name listed for the lead male role. "He got the main part," she whispered excitedly to her friends.
Jana smirked, "Yeah, but you better not let that get in your head, we have a game against (biggest rival school name) tonight, and we need our star player."
Paige sneered jokingly and replied, "I'll be there."
"I've trained my mind to not get freaked when going on stage," Lillian responded.
"How? Teach me your ways…"
"Do theater for 15 years and you won't feel a thing," Lillian said, "And I do have some anxiety, but it always goes away once I'm on stage."
"Unfortunately, I've never done theatre. I don't quite have that experience, and I'm still really, really anxious…"
