"How much?" Darren backed up just enough to look her in the eyes, "Was it like a lot?"

When Ryan came back, Belle was just coming back from doing the laundry. "Hey there ghost, where'd you disappear off to?"

"Cooper almost died and they needed my help," Ryan looked around, anywhere but Belle's eyes.

Her eyes popped open, processing what Ryan just said. "And what exactly does that mean?"

"He got stabbed by a cool genderless demon that's trying to take over the underworld by killing the princes and making all supernatural beings go crazy to build an army," He rushed through his words, his stance grew more and more awkward.

Belle facepalmed, sighing heavily. "Where have I heard that before? Why can't our lives be normal for like 5 minutes?"

"How much?" Darren backed up just enough to look her in the eyes, "Was it like a lot?"

"I don't think I have the words to describe how much," Lillian responded. She gave him a soft and almost sad look. "But it was a lot."
