"Right," Lillian nodded and walked past him to the next tire, "You okay babe?"
"Right," Lillian nodded and walked past him to the next tire, "You okay babe?"
“Yup! I’m doing great,” he hit the ground to look under the wheel well. “I feel like I could pull this dent out. There more front damage to worry about,”
"I don't know, would that work?" Lillian asked him. He knew more about this than her.
“I think there might be some metal damage,” he stood up and pulled on the inside with a cloth over his fingers so we wouldn’t get caught. He pulled harder and harder, his own arms flexing until it popped out.
Lillian had stopped working and just watched him. Why the fuck did he look so hot doing this? She asked once it seemed appropriate, "And?"
“And,” he ran his fingers over it, “it needs a paint job but it’s fine. Now I have an extra fender,”
"That's good," Lillian said slowly moving back to her lugs, "I think."
Darren chuckled and went to the other side of the car. That side was worse and couldn’t just be pulled out.
Lillian laughed as she managed to finish loosening the lugs and now went to jack the car up. She was slightly more nervous about doing this than anything else.
Darren smiled as he worked on his fender. Replacing it swiftly.
Lillian huffed as she finished the tire and saw that Darren was basically done with the fender. God damn it Darren, why do you have to be so fast.
“You’re getting good at this,” he winked.
Lillian blushed and moved onto the next tire, "Sure I am."
“Like a pro,” he walked to the front and cringed. “My baby,”
Lillian glanced down, "Still really sorry."
“Still not your fault,” he sighed. “I took the original parts off of other cars so it’s still a custom car.”
"Yeah," Lillian sighed back, "It's that how it works?"
“No,” he picked at the spiderwebbed glass on his windshield. “Let me dream,”
"Okay then," Lillian shrugged and went back to the tire trying to ignore the knot of guilt in her stomach.
“I built this car so why not rebuild it?” He had to think that way so the sentiment didn’t get to him. In a few minutes, Darren had taken out the windshield and straightened the bars.
"You did, it should be easier the second time right?" Lillian said hopefully. Hiding the turmoil deep inside.
“Of course,” he smiled at her a little, he knew how guilty she felt. He took the hood off completely. “Thank God,” he sighed I’m relief as he looked under the hood.
“Nothing badly damaged?” Lillian asked popping up and looking in.
"Yes," Ryan agreed quickly as he moved to the car.
She smiled and shook her head, following him quickly.
“Nothing badly damaged?” Lillian asked popping up and looking in.
“Nope!” He grinned at the fact that he wouldn’t have to spend so much time rewriting. That would take days.
