"Oh!" Willowpaw dropped her voice to a whisper. "I feel like I don't belong in the clan, I never have. Jaypaw and I are going to run off after this meeting is over, and we wanted to find others to join."

"I could join you if you want. I know herbs well, you could use a cat like me. I hope."

"Of course! Feel free to join us. We must keep quiet though, as we're slipping away from the crowds when everyone's leaving. We can't be detected, or we'll be followed."

"Willowpaw," Jaypaw whispered, padding up behind her, "This is Jaggedpaw of Shadowclan, he will like to join us."

"If that ok with you.." Jaggedpaw said quickly, dipping his black tortoiseshell head in greeting.

"Yes, of course. This is Cloverpaw, she'll be joining us as well." Willowpaw gestured towards Cloverpaw with her head. "Oh, Cloverpaw, this is Jaypaw by the way."

"So, uh…" The tortoiseshell tom looked around, "Why do you guys what to go?"

"Well, I wasn't born in the clan. All of my clanmates have always looked down on me because of it, and I just feel like I don't belong. Both the clan and I would be better off if I left."

"Humm, I would like join because of my family, my father was mates with a kittypet and now hes exiled…" Jaggedpaw whispered, "The clan thinks I will follow his footprints and live a soft life like him, it humiliating."

"Yes… my mother was a rogue, and I have no idea who my father is. I never met either of them."

"I don't know why i'm coming…" Jawpaw put in awkwardly.

"Because we're friends, and you'd be lost without me. That's what you said earlier, anyways." Willowpaw shrugged.

"Oww, I forgot." He still felt awkward.

"We better take are places, the gathering will start soon." Jaggedpaw put in, turning to the great oak.

"True. Alright, we meet by that berry bush after it's over." Willowpaw padded over to where the rest of Riverclan was sitting.
