Ash laughed to cover up the blush creeping into his face. "That came out weird. Never mind."
Ash laughed to cover up the blush creeping into his face. "That came out weird. Never mind."
"No no, it's fine," he said, rubbing the back of his neck and looking away. He ran a hand through his hair, letting out a breath.
Ash mentally slapped himself. You idiot. he thought to himself.
He glanced over at Ash, clearing his throat. "Hey, can I have your honest opinion of the tattoo that I'm getting?"
Ash was startled out of his thoughts. "Yeah, of course."
(ASHDAN)
(lmao)
"Well… do you think I should really do this? I mean, I've always wanted a tattoo but I've never gotten one because it's completely permanent. And I'd kind of like a second opinion before I get this."
Ash nodded to his arm. "Am I really the best one to ask?" he joked but continued. "There have been moments where I've regretted it, but all in all I'm still glad I got them."
Jordan nodded. The tattoo place was nearing, and he could feel his stomach filling with dread. "Oh god I think I might cry in the process of getting this tattoo."
Ash bit his lip. "I did."
He smiled nervously. "Well, I'm glad I'm not alone in this."
"Not much," he added hastily. "The pain passes very quickly, then it's just uncomfortable."
He laughed, opening the door. "Well, I'm not the toughest guy, so we'll see."
(anybody up for playing the tattoo artist?)
A blond haired girl was reading a small paperback book inside, fingering the indigo streaks in her hair. When she heard the bell ring, she got up quickly, haphazardly throwing the book on a desk. "Oh, hello! What can I help you with?" she asked, not-so-discreetly sitting on the book from earlier and shifting back and forth to hide it. (How about it's a regular tattoo place, but if you show her your magic, she'll do a magic tattoo for you)
(sounds good)
Jordan flashed a bright smile at her. "I'm here for a special tattoo, if you're willing."
The girl raised an eyebrow. "What kind of 'special tattoo' do you mean? Name's Zoe, by the way. And you are…"
"I'm Jordan," he said, giving a small bow as if he was a gentleman. Sparks flew from his hands. "Pleased to meet you."
Zoe's eyes widened, and she nodded. She spread her hands wide, and instantly, the illusion cast over the shop disappeared. The ringing alarm clock became a singing phoenix pendulum clock, while the stars drawn on the cuffs of Zoe's jeans started to glow. "So… what kind of tattoo do you want?"
He raised his eyebrows, impressed. "I'd like a symbol on my back. One that prevents burns from fire," he explained. Jordan gestured to his bandaged arm. "I wasn't being very careful with my abilities, and this happened."
Zoe winced. "Ouch… that's got to hurt. Do you have any requests for the design?"
"Just bold dark lines, I guess," he said with a shrug. "And I want it to cover basically the entire upper section of my back."
Zoe nodded, pulling threads of golden light seemingly from nowhere and weaving it quickly into a fiery design that hovered in the air. "Like this?" she asked.
He beamed at her. "Exactly." Jordan pulled his shirt off. "But from what I understand, we're closing soon so we should probably get this over with."
(gtg to bed, see you tomorrow)
the stars drawn on the cuffs of Zoe's jeans started to glow.
DEH?
(not to mention the 'indigo streaks in her hair')
