"Yes, Evanna." Savannah sighed and slid some more coins to the vendor, who handed her his finest mangoes. "Thank you sir." She curtsied politely and walked back over to Evanna, laden with bags of food.

Evanna smiled at Savannah's exasperation. Her red eyes glinted in the sun. "Let's stay the night at the inn." She said, no further explanation. She twirled her axe in her hand, hoping for approval.

"Alright. Mother and father won't worry?" She slung a bag over her shoulder, adjusting her deep purple scarf. Although she was dressed as a commoner, she still looked fashionable.

"Bah, you're with me. What could go wrong." She paused. "Please don't make anything go wrong." She held her axe by her side, looking intimidating despite her height. It was probably the axe. Yes, definitely not the fact that she looked like she could kill you with her bare hands. It was a wonder the princess even slightly tolerated her.

"Fair enough, and no promises." Savannah smirked a bit. "You know how trouble likes to follow me around like a puppy at one's heels. I heard there's a nice inn over here, anyhow." She walked over to it and stepped inside, speaking with the owner and securing a room with two beds for her and Evanna.

Evanna sighed, following the princess. Trouble did truly like to follow her around.

"Well, we'll be staying in the same room tonight if that's okay with you, Evanna." Savannah examined her bags of food. "Perhaps we could prepare some food in there? It'd be fuuun!"
(Btw, Savannah is about 16)

(ok. Evanna is in her early 20's)
(she's very self conscious about her height tho)
"That's fine."she peered into the bag. "I guess we can whip something up."

(How tall is she lol)
"We can make sandwiches! I got fish, so that'll have to do." They went to the room and Savannah broke the bread.

Evanna smiled at Savannah's enthusiasm. "Sandwiches sound wonderful." She assisted Savannah in making sandwiches.

They finished making the fish sandwiches and Savannah bit into one. "You know, sometimes this kinda thing is more enjoyable than extravagant palace food. It's just… normal! And it's good! Not to mention you can actually pronounce its name."

"Bah, you say that but when you grew up with this, what they serve at the palace is heaven." she took a bite of her sandwich. "Although," she said, mouth full of food, "it ish kinda refreshing."

Savannah smiled, finishing her sandwich. "So, what now? Truth or Truth? Scary stories? Secrets?"

"Ahh.." Evanna chuckled. "Whatever you wish."

"Hmm… I guess Truth or Truth sounds fun. What did you do before you came to work at the castle?"

"Well, I did a couple of things. I fought. People payed to watch us fight. I danced. Often with a friend of mine. He was a bard. At one point.. I did some things I'm not proud of." She rubbed her hands together. "But that's in the past, now." She looked to Savannah. "So, I ask you a question now?"

"Interesting…" Savannah decided not to push it further. "And yes, you ask me a question now."

"Alright.." Evanna tilted her head, trying to think of a question. "What's your biggest secret?"

"Hmm…" Savannah thought for a moment. "Well, you know mother's diamond necklace that 'went missing'? I actually took it. I wanted to wear it when I was little because I thought it was so pretty, but I accidentally lost it."

Evanna laughed. It wasn't as much of a laugh, as a cackle. "Oh dear! You must be so innocent if that's your biggest secret!" She wiped a tear from her eye. "Well, diamond necklaces are quite hard to come by."

"And that other time we went to the zoo and the wolf 'got free'? I let it out. It really didn't look well, and I couldn't bear it being trapped in that enclosure. It was much too small for an animal that size!"

Evanna's eyes widened, and she snorted. "You let a bloody wolf out?!" She shook with silent laughter. "You are such a riot!"

"He just looked so sad!" Savannah insisted. "Didn't you see how thin he was? Anyways, my turn. Do you… like anyone? Any of the other guards, perhaps?" She smirked a bit.

Evanna's face went blank. "Ahh.. about that.." she gulped. "Well, I do like someone. Okay, I answered your question. My turn now?" she said quickly, rubbing her hands together nervously.

"Wait, you have to say who! Which one?" Savannah said excitedly. She was enjoying having a night to act like a normal girl for once.
