Jay looked up, his nose still bleeding, to see Dorian getting shoved into the cell next to him, "Dorian…" He choked out, his body weak from being roughly thrown into the wall. "Quiet." One of the guards snapped using the rod to send a small shock of electricity at him. He winced and stayed quiet, leaning into the corner. The guards shoved Dorian into the cell and shocked him.
Dorian growled when on of them shocked Jay, "Don't touch hi-" He was cut off as they shook him, having to hold his arms down so he wouldn't fight back against it. They let him breath for a few moments before shocking him at a higher voltage.
"Stop attacking him! Leave him be, please! Attack me or go away!". Jay tried standing up knowing full well that he had broken one of his ribs but he had to stop them. The guards rolled their eyes and started to leave, not before shocking Jay twice with the same voltage they had used on Dorian. Jay sank to the floor, trying to stay concious, "Are…you…o-okay…?" He asked.
Dorian crawled to the wall, leaning his head against the bars, "It doesn't matter… about me. I-I told them…" He inhaled and winced, "I told them not to hurt y-you… the bastards…" When he was let out he'd kill every last one of them.
"I-I'm fine. Don't worry about me and please don't do a-anything you'll regret. P-promise me that…" Jay struggled to dragon himself over to Dorian but when he did, Jay reached his cuffed hands towards Dorian. He leaned his head against the wall and lost the remaining consciousness he had and slipped back down to the floor. His breathing was trying to steady itself.
Dorian reached through the cell bars, taking Jay's hand in his own softly. He rubbed his thumb over the back of Jay's hand, humming a soft tune. He coulnd't sleep, yes he was tired but sleep wouldn't help him, it never did.
Through his unconsciousness, Jay could hear Dorian humming and felt him take one if his hands into his own. Jay wished he could wake up and be on the same side as Dorian. He just wanted to be with him. But for whatever reason, he couldn't wake up. Jay hoped that Dorian knew what they had to do. They had to escape and go far away from here. If they stayed nothing would ever be the same.
A few hours later, the guards came back, luckily they didn't go anywhere near Jay but they came for Dorian. His father had ordered another round of torture but Dorian prayed to the gods that he was lucky enough that they one, didn't hurt Jay, and two, took him away from him and into another room. He hoped when he got back Jay would be awake.
Jay heard footsteps, the humming from Dorian stopped and his hand was letten go of. A few minutes later Jay shot up quickly, then moaned in pain and buried his face in his hands. The next time he looked up, he realized Dorian wasn't there, "D-dorian…?" He gasped and looked around the dark dungeon. He grew scared, not knowing where his love was. His heart beat faster and faster and he prayed that they didn't do anything too horrible to Dorian
It was hours later when Dorian returned, bloodied and bruised, falling to his hands and knees into his cell. He spit some blood onto the fall, panting heavily as the door shut with a loud bang and the guards leaving them be, "Did they hurt you…?" He asked quietly, lifting his head just slightly to look at Jay.
Jay was still on his hands and knees, his entire body was shaking. He had a large amount of panic attacks and was slapped a couple times but he shook his head without saying a word and panicked even more after seeing the state that Dorian was, "Dorian…" His voice came out as a weak and fearful whisper as he stared at him, tears in his eyes.
Dorian offered a small smile, slowly making his way over to Jay. He leaned against the wall and once again, took Jay's hand in his own, giving it a small, reassuring squeeze, "It's okay, I'm here now…" He kissed the back of Jay's hand softly, releasing a shaky breath afterwards.
Jay started to cry as he pushed himself as close as he could to Dorian, tightly holding onto his hand, “I-I want you with m-me…” He remembered his idea from earlier and nervously spoke, “W-we…have to escape…”
Dorian nodded a little in agreement, "Yeah… we do…" He sighed softly and thought for a few moments, "when the next set of guards come, we need a way to take the keys…"
“Next time they come it’ll be with food. I can grab the keys then. You know how good I am at getting stuff like that.” Jay weakly smirked, “I doubt this’ll offend you, but I hate the king so much…” Footsteps echoed down the hall and in a few moments the guards were there, with food.
“Don’t worry, I hate him too.” Dorian mumbled, watching as the guards walked into Jay’s cell and placed the food down in front of him. The guard gave them a disgusted look as he did so.
Jay flinched at the look but quickly and quietly grabbed the keys when the guard turned and hid them behind his back.
Dorian resisted the urge to reach through the bars and punch the guard in the face as he left, bringing in another tray of food from him.
Once the guards left, Jay Waite a few minutes then quickly unlocked his cuffs and door. Then he went to Dorian's cell and unlocked his door as well.
As soon as the door was open, the first thing Dorian did was embrace Jay in a hug, resting his chin atop his head.
Jay hugged back, his face against Dorian’s neck, “Dorian…” he smiled
Dorian smiled softly, kissing the top of his head, “Jay…”
“I love you…”. He pulled away unwillingly, “We have to escape…”
“I love you too,” Henreplied, giving Jay a quick kiss on the nose, “Come on, we have to get out of here.”
Jay lightly blushed then grabbed his hand and starting looking into the dark, “Is there a secret tunnel down here? I know came down here a lot with your mother and you two would explore, right?”
