Tears rolled down Carter's cheeks. He wrapped his arms around himself, silent sobs running wild through him. Michael's grip slackened some, as if he were able to sense Carter's need of comfort. They hated each other, though it was hard to ignore the memories of when they had cared for each other that they had both repressed.
"Lloyd, please, I can't see you. I can't see me," he sobbed.
(I gtg to bed now, byeeeeee)
(Sorry guys, I went camping. We'll just say that Edlin fainted or zoned out. Something like that.)
I stood up looking down at them. I heard Carter saying that he couldn't see Lloyd or himself. "But how?" I asked out loud. "I can see them." As I said this I stood up and time seemed to go in slow motion. I pulled out an arrow and prepared my bow. I closed one eye and looked down the arrow until it was aiming at Michael's arm holding Carter. I had to be careful as to not hit him. I aimed it near his shoulder. This should give us the time we need to get ourselves and Carter out of here. I pulled back my string and exhaled. As I did, I let go of the string and the arrow went flying straight at Michael's arm.
Michael hissed in pain and retracted his arm, his eyes darting upwards to see who had shot him. Carter slumped backwards, clutching his head. He srambled back, knowing well enough that he couldn’t stay within Michael’s grasp. He walked backwards towards the stairs, stumbling over himself as he moved. He knew that the smart move would be to run out the front door, but he also knew that he had hidden a device in his room that would alert the heroes that Michael was there. He also needed to see who exactly had shot his older brother.
"Come on!" Lloyd grabbed Carter's arm and pulled him towards the stairs. They needed to get out of here before Michael recovered, and he didn't know how long that'd take. He kept his own bow in his hand just in case he needed it, but if they were lucky he wouldn't.
Carter flinched at the contact. It’s only Lloyd, calm down, he repeated to himself as they climbed up the stairs. He nearly jumped when he saw Edlin standing at the top of the stairs, holding a bow. “It was you!” He said, not completely sure what he looked like at the moment. He had stopped crying, that was for sure, but he had to look like a mess. He brushed past her, running towards his old room. He stopped when he stepped through the doorway, looking around at the unchanged room. His toys were still scattered around, his bed was still made. It was a bit ridiculous.
Jelleh say up looking at Michael, "YOUR GOING TO PAY!" she yelled running towards him knocking him over.
I smiled at Lloyd and Carter as they passed me. I looked down at Jelleh, I knew she could hold him for a second, I needed to see what was going on in that room. I walked into the room and looked around. I looked up at Carter and saw the expression on his face. "Carter, what is this place?"
Carter didn't bother to turn around. He walked forwards, leaning against the dusty windowsill and sighing. His eyes flickered over to the picture on the wall, one of him, his mother, and Michael. He had been seven, and Michael had been twelve, and they hadn't even known that their mother was sick. "We used to live here," Carter said finally, shaking his head. "Then, you know, a few dead people later, we didn't." He walked over to a small toy that was sitting by the foot of his bed. The back of it had been cut open and resewn. He picked up scissors from the bedside table and began to cut it open.
(It doesn't have to beeeee I gotta brb tho)
(Jelleh launched at Michael and he hasn't reacted)
( @Brokenchipmunk hello?)
(Michael still needs to do something)
"Carter, what are you doing?" I asked as I walked towards him. I looked over at Lloyd and gave him a slight smile. I didn't know what to do at this point.
Michael stumbled backwards, falling onto the floor. His head hit the hardwood with a sickening crack, and he was out cold.

Carter let out a bitter laugh. "I don't know, okay? I've been beaten, and screamed at, and for god's sake, I can't even see my own body- or Lloyd's for that matter. I want this to stop, Edlin. I really do. But all I can do is stand back and be a coward, like I always am." He finally ripped open the toy, trying not to show how much he was breaking down. He took out a small remote, one with a hero's mark on it. He swallowed and held it up. "This was my way to talk to them. To let them know where I was and if I was safe. I learned later that it was just a way for them to track my brother, but it doesn't matter now. I can tell them he's here with this, and we can leave, and never come back."
(Maybe they can go figure out what's happening with the rest of the characters?)
Jelleh dragged Michael to carter, "Anything we need to do with him?"
(Sorry guys, I can't get on the computer very often.)
I looked at the remote and then over at Michael. "Do it Carter." I said with a sigh. "And, I'm sorry."
I walked over to Jelleh and pointed at Lloyd, then Carter. "Jelleh, you have to make them visible." I exclaimed.
"Oh, I forgot about that…" Jelleh said making them visible , "That was me…"
Lloyd didn't notice any difference, having already been able to see the others.
(cue star wars reference "Do it, Anakin. Deeww et")
(cue Princess Bride reference "As you wishhhhhhhh")
(The person who plays Jelleh deleted their account so someone could take over the character or we could just come up with a way to take her out of the story. Idk, what do you guys want to do?)
