( fast forwards to the morning )
Emori strode down the street, fully healed and happy. Well… maybe not happy. There was a non-human, and he discovered her. He had to live in the city, or at least near the city. No matter what, she masked her scent with her abilities. ( Basically, a form of making her scent invisible ) Surely, the man wouldn't recognize her, since her grey shirt no longer looked brown, and her skin no longer looked in horrible condition. She'd also washed her hair, and had it in a half-up-half-down sort of thing. Hopefully he didn't have a very good memory if he lived around here.
Castor was at home, and woke up slumped over the keyboard to his computer. He'd been up much of the night, trying to figure out what Orion was, but the Internet had nothing to offer. Maybe Orion was an alien? Castor couldn't help worry. He knew if there was trouble, he would probably be wanted to help stop it, yet he felt as if his powers were not strong enough to beat that thing he saw in the forest.
Emori walked into a coffee-shop, and ordered in large and black. She sipped it hungrily, thankfully for the heat burning her mouth.
Castor took a shower and left the house with his backpack slung over his left shoulder after telling his mother where he was headed. He went to the nearest coffee shop to clear his mind and get some caffeine in his system. Castor ordered a caramel latte with espresso shots and sat down alone somewhere, sipping his drink. He pulled a book out of his bag and began reading, but before he knew it, he'd nodded off again and jerked back awake.
Emori sighed as she sat down, and pulled her lap-top out of her bag. ( That I forgot to mention she has. But thats where she kept her money to pay for the drink so…. ) She opened it, and started typing crazy-fast, searching for anything she could find about that boy last night.
Castor shut the book and pulled out his phone. He didn't know what he could research at this point. It was time to start asking around. He pulled up the picture of the creature he'd seen and approached Emori.
"Excuse me. If you're not busy, I'm researching a creature for a… um… project, and I have the image of what I'm looking for, but I can't seem to find anything about it on the Internet. Would you take a look and tell me if you know anything?"
Emori nodded and smiled. She took the phone and examined the picture, and gasped when she figured out what it was.
Castor was surprised. "Wait… so you do know what this is? I tried researching, but it's almost impossible."
Emori nodded. "Its called a Wendigo Shifter. Awful creatures." she said with a shudder. "You found one?"
Castor confirmed, "I was at a gas station yesterday, and one walked out of the convenience store. Then, he just looked human. He was acting suspicious, so I followed him into the woods behind, and he transformed into this. He ate a bear, so I snapped a picture for later reference and bailed. I figured I probably couldn't take him in a fight, no matter how strong I might actually be. I take it you've encountered one before?"
Emori's face went pale. The cashier was a freaking Wendigo Shifter? She nodded stiffly. "Wendigo Shifters are more on the… SuperNatural side. Sort of mutant-like things that people encounter, but nobody actually believes the people who see them. Nasty things…" she said shakily.
"Are they dangerous? I mean… should we do something? Tell someone who will believe us?" Castor asked, more than a little concerned. He continued, "I've had my fair share of encounters with weird monsters and people with powers, but never anything quite like this."
Emori looked at him in surprise. She let herself open her dragon-nostrils and… He wasn't a normal human! She kept a look of calm on her face, and shook her head. "Don't tell anybody. If we leave it alone, it will leave us alone."
"That's good. As long as he's not hostile, I'm not overly concerned, but I will say I'm very curious about it all, and if I can learn more, there's nothing that will be able to stop me," Castor replied, taking another sip of his coffee.
Emori nodded. "They hide out as humans, but their usually really really tall. Not to be confused with basket-ball players of course… They have really good noses, so if he comes into the city he'd be able to find you in an instant." she explained.
"Smell me? Would I not just smell like other humans?" Castor asked, alarmed. Did she know? Could she sense it? Was she not a human, either?
"Every human smells different." she said. "For instance while some smell like mint and candles, others smell like old pizza."
"I'm guessing I'm the latter, then?" Castor joked. He now was almost certain his instinct was right, and that she wasn't human. She could smell him too.
"How should I know? I can't smell you." she said with a laugh, and she couldn't. She wasn't using her scent abilities.

(My character legit only has one power. ._. I think I have won the under powered. Also good morning.)

( you could always gain abilities! )
"Fair enough," Castor replied. "Um… hey, how about I give you my phone number and email address, so if you see a Shifter again, see anything, or learn anything new, we can stay in touch. I don't have anyone else to talk to who won't think I've lost my mind."
