Forgot to mention, Emori's nick-name is Pocky! You can call her either.
Emori stumbled up to the gas station, her hair a mess around her face and her jeans ripped. She was soaked to the bone, thanks to the storm going on. She limped inside, and grabbed a bag of chips. "How much?" she asked the cashier horsely. ( I figure one of you guys could be the cashier! )
(I guess I can!)
Orion looked up from the counter at the soaked girl. He was slouched down, but he straightened to his full height. “$2.50,” He said, giving her a smile.
Emori tried to smile back, but winced. Her lips were split, and smiling hurt. Which stunk, because it was usually all she did. She pulled out a crumpled three dollars, and pushed them towards the cashier. "Keep the change." she rasped. She then limped outside, and sat down on the bench, watching the storm rage.
Orion inhaled slowly, able to smell her from the inside still. He could smell the tiniest hints of blood, and it made him almost hungry. But he pushed aside those urges and went from behind the counter. He slipped outside and looked over at the girl. “It’s kind of terrible weather out. There’s a few chairs in the break room, why don’t you just sit there for a bit?” He offered.
Emori nodded eagerly, extremely tired. She followed the cashier into the break room, but just curled up on the floor other then in a chair. She opened her bag of chips, and ate them slowly, feeling strength rush back into her. She let out a long breath, and smiled ever-so-slightly. "Thanks." she said, her voice sounding normal now.
(So should I also make my character go to the store?)
Orion nodded slowly and stood above her, watching her skeptically. “Why are you out walking around in this weather, ..?” He asked, also hoping that she would give him her name.
(Sure.)
Lucille entered the gas station, she looked around. Her mom was giving gas to the car. (… idk how to state this correctly, hailp.) A weird scent lingered in the air.
Emori swallowed the last bite of her chips, and wiped her mouth. "A few hours back I was driving on an old road, the storm hit, and I wrecked. I've been wandering around for a while, and I finally found the gas station, so I decided to sleep here and figure out my way home in the morning." She explained. "Oh, and my name is Emori by the way."
“Oh, okay. Well, I will be closing up soon, but I could rent you out a room at a nearby hotel?” Orion said. He heard the bell on the door ding as someone came in. “One second, Emori.” He went into the main area of the store and looked at the younger girl who just came in.
Lucille wandered around the aisles, picking up three different scents. One was the scent of the candies around her. One was a horrible unpleasantly dangerous scent. And one was more secretive, covered.
(Can I join?)
Emori let out a low growl when she heard someone enter. Now that the cashier was gone, she freed herself to smell the scents around her. She felt her heart turn cold when she smelled the dangerous scent around her. With quick movements, she tip-toed out of the back room and bolted for the back door.
(Can I join?)
( be our guest )
Orion sniffed at the air and watched the girl. Her scent was off, masked almost. That was strange for a normal person.
Emori flung the door open, and ran out into the night.
Orion heard the noise, and his head snapped in the direction, an animal like instinct wanting to take over. In a flash of inhuman speed, he was outside and in front of Emori, staring down at her. “It’s still pouring, you know. And dark. Not really safe out here for you.”
Emori punched him in the gut with unnatural strength. "Get away from me!" She cried, bolting.
Orion stumbled back a few steps, but regained himself and was blocking her path a moment later. He grabbed her arm in a tight grip and inhaled slowly and sharply, taking in her scent. “You’re not human,” he hissed, his tone almost scratchy and monster like.
