"I'm working on it." Dani said, mentally fighting the command to break.

Skylar herded the boys to the hospital, opening Ace's door. "Hello?" she asked, stepping in.

"Okay, then do you need anything?" Zander asked.

Frankie saw the people approaching and ushered them to stop but they didn't see her so she just followed them in.

Blake looked up when he heard people walking in. "Skylar? Peter?" He asked rushing over to give them a hug. Not really for them but for him. He needed a hug. "Ellis!" Blake grinned through he tear crusted face.

"Moral support?"

Peter smiled faintly, concerned for Ace and everyone.

"H'llo!" Ellis leapt up to hug Blake, wings outstretched gleefully.

"Yeah, okay I think I can do that." Zander said." Okay, uhh… Breath in and out, and in, and out…."

Blake hugged Ellis and wrapped his wings around him. "How you doing buddy?"

Dani listened to Zander's voice and closed her eyes. The seconds seemed to stretch on for years.

"And in, and out. Now find your inner,peace, a happy memory, or a mental image of something that brings you joy." Zander said, repeating things he had heard in movies.

Dani smiled and let happy memories flow through her head. Meeting her friends, meeting Zander, the dance, watching Zander punch Will in the face. Priceless. She could already feel herself relax as the Terror's grip on her slipped.

Znader smiled as Dani's demeanor calmed. That meant it had to be working.

Dani opened her eyes. "It's gone. Thanks."

Zander kissed her forehead." Good I'm glad."

Dani smiled. "Me too. Mm……..love you." She whispered.

"I love you, too." Zander whispered back.

"Real good!" Ellis chirped back, "I've been practicing flying and stuff, uncle Blake!"

Peter grinned hugely.

"Awesome. After this maybe you can show me?" Blake said half-heartedly.

"After what?" Ellis asked.

"Uh, nothing. Just saying hi to Ace. You wanna say hi?" Blake replied. He could feel the tears welling up in his eyes so he turned away.
