@Natasha
Dani nodded, biting her lip. She gathered cold water in a sphere. "But this will make it feel better. And look better. I promise the Citadel doesn't hate you– you're just a klutz." She teased.

"Thanks." Ace cleared his mind, glad for the distraction. He didn't like thinking about…No, stop. They're gone. You escaped. They're not going to hurt me ever again.
"Dani! Can I head down early? Please?" Blake pouted, giving Dani the best puppy eyes he could muster.
"C'mon, let the puppy go." Ace waved Blake off and sat on the couch, scrambled emotions weighing heavy in his chest.
Zander grabbed a clothe from his pockets. It was a automatic cooling rag." You should put this on your forehead."
Ace scoffed, "Like I said, I can deal with a small bruise."
"Thanks, Ace!" Blake tackled Ace into a sloppy hug, squeezing him tightly. He had the Rozer-Rum gripped in his hand. He practically sprinted out the door.
Dani quickly looked away. "Okay okay! Just stop with the puppy eyes!!! Please!!!"
"You may be right, but right now they're bruise-zords who are slowly trying to build one mega-bruise-zords."
Skylar laughed as Blake ran out the door. "Ace, you are such a klutz. How do you even manage to hit your head that many times?"
The sun began to set as Iseul looked out the window. He started to think about the man he saw in the mirror. He began to think about what could happen at this ball. Several thoughts began to make his mind swirl. His hand began to tap his leg repeatedly as his foot began to tap the floor of the car. Jackson placed his hand on top of his to stop it from shaking.
Iseul glanced down at their hands then at his friend before looking at Seunghye in the backseat. She fell asleep while holding a small stuffed animal sheep. He grinned as he turned his head to look through the front windscreen. It will all go smoothly., he thought to himself,I will not have to run away or shoot anybody tonight.
Ace lost a bit of his heart when he looked at the glass Blake was holding. Rozer-rum. It was his favorite drink. The smell of rum hit Ace's nose as he recalled standing at the kitchen table, bringing him drinks and his everywhere hurting and burning and blood dripping from wounds that shouldn't have been present on a nine-year old. A broken right arm in a cast, the pinkie on his left hand bent the wrong way. Scars all over his body as well as all over his heart. A broken child. Ace snapped back to life, Skylar's sentence pulling him out of the dark depths of his mind. He managed a laugh, "I don't know?"
Blake was flying down the stairs. Literally. He was soaring in a sharp downward dive down the stairs. Eventually, after following a series of signs with complicated directions, he found himself in the ballroom. His hair was a ruffled mess, along with his wings. He pushed himself into a corner, feeling intimidated.
(Poor Ace!)
"Ha! Leave it to you to find a way." She laughed, walking to sit back down next to Peter. "We leaving soon, or what?" Sky asked.
(Is it my turn?)
Zander passed the cloth(e(?)) to Ace anyway." You need help your head."
Dani held up her hand and it glowed. "That's what I'm here for."
So maybe rushing down to the ball without everyone else wasn't the best idea. The place was ornate and extravagant and Blake, himself, was rather scruffy. He smoothed out his suit and his wings. He took a deep breath and strode over to one of the many fancy white clothed tables. Taking a seat he eyed a fancy wineglass. He set the Rozer-Rum on the table nervously and looked around. Women with sharp eyeliner and sharper glares looked back. Men who looked like they could snap poor Blake like a twig. With suddenly shaky hands, Blake popped the cap off the alcohol, pouring it into a glass ungracefully. With a deep sigh he took a long sip, downing it in one go.
Ace frowned and then, out of nowhere, a light-bulb fell onto his forehead, drawing blood. His own purple blood. "Okay! Okay! Do your thing!"
Zander called for Kata. " He has something more than bad luck, can you smell it?"
"What the heck?!?!? This room isn't even lit with light bulbs!" She put her hand on Ace's forehead, healing it, then she stepped back and pulled out both of her blades and lit them up.
"I think the Citadel wants me dead."
She looked around. "Hmmm……" There was a slimy green residue on a coffee table by them. "What is that???"
Kata raced around the room hissing and howling.
"KATA CALM DOWN!!!!" Dani exclaimed. She rubbed the residue between her fingers. "This is really slimy."
