(Okie, I'll just develop my character as it goes. :3)
The rain started pouring harder, drenching Cobalt's nurse uniform as he exited the hospital. After finishing up with his final patient, he clocked out, allowing the night shift to take over. He could feel his stomach growling as he looked forward to a hot meal back at his apartment. The average person would hate the rain, but Cobalt thought it was soothing. He felt calmed by it as he walked through a dark alley to get to his car. Before he could get through he heard a low moan… It sounded like someone was hurt! He turned back to see someone with… blood? Cobalt did his best to carry the hurt man, soon to be his patient. His dinner back home would need to wait. The next morning, Cobalt watched as Jay opened his eyes.
"Good morning, Jay. You've just come out of surgery a few hours ago. I'll need to ask a few questions and run a few tests," he said, the bags under his eyes clearly showing he didn't sleep the night before."
(I hope that's good. Btw, what species is Jay? I didn't catch it before.)

(Yeah, it sounds great but Idk if we're ready to timeskip? @"Oakie Dokie"are you? Also Jay is a Silver Wolf-Shiba mix.)

(Sorry it's not finished my hands were shaky and I didn't color it very well. ^~^)

(@Midnight said they would be gone for a few hours so it's fine i guess, we could flashback and stuff later cuz all it was was a movie :P)

"Hello? Jay, where the heck are you?"
Aspen stood in the back room of his cafe, sorting out produce and freaking out over Jay's absence. "You don't cancel a date and call the person the next day."

"Excuse me sir, I'm not aware of Jay's affiliation with you, but he's been in an accident. He was in critical condition last night, but is doing better now. Are you someone who can come see him?" Cobalt said, trying to hide his exhaustion. He hoped he could find someone, anyone, to come visit Jay. Not only for professional reasons, but he felt pity for Jay. He needed someone.

Critical condition? "Umm, yes. I'm his… Boyfriend," Aspen lied, grabbing his car keys and heading for the door. "I'm on my way now."

"I'm coming, Jay. Don't you dare tell me not to."

"Thank you. He's just woken up," Cobalt replied, trying his best to keep it above a mumble. He hung up, and slowly slumped down to the floor, just trying to process everything from the night before. Cobalt decided that in a few hours he'd go get some coffee.

"Doc, thanks. I would have died out there in that rain." Jay sat up in the bed a little bit, looking at himself. he was a wreck. Just from a little stray bullet and some glass?

Aspen closed up the shoppe in a hurry and bustled over to his Land Rover, praying to whatever was out there that the ignition would turn. "Come on…"
To his relief, it started up by the fourth turn of the key and he eased his way into traffic. His AJR cd was playing over the speakers, but he turned it off.
He got to the hospital in record time and made his way anxiously to Jay's room, knocking on the door impatiently.

Jay's face turned red. he knew who the doctor talked on the phone to and was nervous. He didn't know what to say, or what he'd do, or.. pshh anything. "Come in, Aspen," he called quietly, his nose pinking a little.

Cobalt shook his head, a bit surprised he was able to doze off in the middle of a patient's room.
"Oh, um- yes, the shards struck an artery; the surgeon had to stop you from bleeding out. Your boyfriend is coming by to see you soon."

Aspen flew across the room in a blur of grey and was immediately at Jay's bedside, hugging him tightly. "You arsehole, you should've told me you were hurt."

Cobalt nervously stepped out of the room, letting the two have their little moment.
