Adi gritted her teeth against the cold, leaning her shoulder back into the rock outcropping. On a scale of one to ten, this was a solid 11. She'd known beforehand about the weather, but this was insane. She'd lived on the mountains for years, and no true winter was this fierce. And now, her own decisions had lead to this fate, and she had to deal with it. She'd die up here- but that would be worth it. The white blinded her to everything but the tiny sliver of shadow she was hidden in, barely enough to keep the snow from piling up around her. But it was enough for now, if she could make it through the storm and continue the search the next morning.

Name: Emeline DeRosier
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Race: Half-Angel, Half-Human
Short backstory: Emeline was second in line to the throne, after her older brother Adrien. However, after a couple years of life and after her true skills and appearance were discovered, her parents made her the crown princess and demoted her brother to a high knight instead - mostly because they were afraid that God would curse their kingdom if they didn't let the half-angel take the throne. (They're very catholic.) Has since been practicing and preparing herself and her skills for the spot of queen. Has never doubted her status, place, kingdom, or family, and isn't used to any sort of life outside the castle. She's not spoiled, but a little entitled.
Abilities and Skills: Emeline can turn the dark (other names include yin, negative, negatively-charged) energy around her into a physical force, one that usually manifests itself as a thick smoke ranging in color from a dark sea green to jet black, depending on how negatively charged it is. On occasion, it has been known to appear as a slimy, sticky, thicker, even puddy-like substance.
Appearance: Emeline is the (unnoticeably, but still) shorter and stronger side, with long, wavy black hair, dark brown eyes, a slim but rectangular body figure, and a pale but still rosy skin tone complete with a set of very full lips, eyes, and a full nose. She also is home to a pair of wings, from her half-angel race. However, they are a charcoal black, torn and ragged in some places, and almost appear to be burned, although they've been near fire. As for her outfit, Emeline wears a knee-length black lace dress, with either a leather or denim jacket and van-like flats with a dark silver diadem with a sea green gem in the middle. Formal wear is a little different. A loooooooooong black lace dress with a trail, a white faux fur stole with a diamond or sea green gem for a clasp, sparkling, short black heels, and a tall dark silver crown with three sea green gems on top.
Other: She owns a talking advisor elm-colored tabby cat named Frank. Speaks fluent French and, when she's not speaking in her native tongue, carries a heavy French accent.

Name: Kirin Abendrot
Age: he says 21, but is 19
Gender: Male
Race: Kirin is half human half something else. He doesn’t know what the something else is, but guesses some sort of mage or sorcerer.
Short backstory: okay Kirin is actually from another RP with a really specific backstory made for that RP so if this sounds kinda weird that’s probably why.
Kirin is from a kingdom slightly disconnected from everywhere else, where the people have just overthrown the tyrannical monarchy. He used to be a bounty hunter for the king, but broke free from that halfway during the revolution. However, he lost too much in the war and enough people hate him for his past that he left his home and started working as a hired bounty hunter.
Abilities and skills: this is gonna seem really OP but he doesn’t/can’t use about half of it. So Kirin is a mind-based sorcerer/mage. He can read minds (he keeps them out with focus, but if he isn’t in control it can overwhelm him) and has telekinesis. He used to be able to control about one person at a time, but an anxiety disorder similar to selective muteness has since developed and he can’t anymore. He also used to be able to speak to people, but he stopped using it for currently undisclosed reasons and is unlikely to ever use it again. His telekinesis is also very distinct in that you can see sapphire energy moving the objects (kinda like Scarlet Witch).
Appearance: Kirin is tall and very pale. His hair in naturally black, but he dyes it to a sapphire blue. It’s been growing out, so until he gets another chance to dye it it’ll be half black half blue. His eyes are clear grey, and he has one long scar stretching from his left shoulder to his elbow.

//I’m sorry if he’s too OP, I can knock another no power out if need be. He was literally made to be a plot device in that one roleplay so he could do pretty much whatever he needed to and then I got attached :/
