“We’re gonna raid the castle’s kitchen, which technically belongs to you?”

"Stop beating me with logic."

“That’s my job as your advisor.” Chelsea joked.

"Yeah." Willow smiled and headed towards the kitchen, "Maybe you should be my Lady-in-Waiting instead."

(Wait woah does everyone have a plot twist?)

“What’s a Lady-in-Waiting?”

"You bring me food and talk to me and like do stuff for me." Willow grinned, grabbing a piece of cake from the kitchen fridge, "It's a job for a close friend."

Scarlet blushed as well, walking a little closer to him.

Cade kept praising himself mentally for holding her hand. Great first step. Good job. Hold on, did you check if your hands were sweaty? You can't have sweaty hands.

What If my hands are sweaty?! Scarlet though feverishly.

After a few more minutes, the castle loomed above them. "How do we get in?" He asked her, noting the guards standing by the front entrance. "Do we just…waltz right through the door?"

“I’ll identify myself to the guard, and he’ll let us in.”

"…Alright." He cautiously walked forward, his free hand curling in a fist behind his back just in case.

Scarlet let go of Cade’s hand as they approached the guard so she could take off her hood. Red curls spilled out from it, tumbling around her face. “Queen Scarlet, reporting to the castle.”

Queen…nah, Princess is better. The nickname stays. Cade grinned at himself. Shut up. Don't make yourself laugh. He put on a straight face, awaiting the guard's response.

The guard frowned, and she recognized him as Alfred Bowing. “There have been some….. new developments Princess.”, he said uncertainly, not using her title, or what she thought was her title. Her brow was furrowed in confusion. “Pardon?”

(Anyone has control over Alfred)

"New developments? Has someone else taken over? Is there a new form of government?" Cade tried to sound as respectable and snooty as he could.

“Ah… the, um, claimed daughter of Queen Alice, Willow, has taken the throne. Blood tests are being run right now.”
