Bastian's grin widened a bit. Halo was level headed and and a cute name to go with his looks? He didn't think he hoped Leon would hire someone more. Leon glanced over at Halo, saying nothing for a moment.
"Bastian offered, hm? He doesn't do that often. You should feel lucky," she said, her voice smooth and accented as she spoke. "What did you do before this, Halo?"
He glances down before glancing up at Leon, "I worked at an Italian restaurant not far from here." he says simply. "There was an abuse of power and I found myself on the streets." He says simply. Halo kept a straight face, his breathing remaining even and controlled.
Leon seemed to pause in thought for a moment, studying Halo in the process. "And do you have a home? Apartment, a living arrangement of any kind?"
"Currently a small apartment." Halo says shrugging. "I doubt they'll keep me in there long since I lost my job and I'm running behind on fees." He explains lightly, financials were always a touchy subject for him since he worked his ass off and got very little in return.
"When, or if, you end up leaving that apartment, you can share with Bastian," Leon said. Bastian's eyes went wide, and he took a moment to look between her and Halo almost comically.
"Sorry, are you really sure that's a good idea?" he asked, but Leon waved him off.
"It would only be temporary. Half the rooms are under construction from someone's," she paused to look at Bastian, "stupidity a few months ago."
Halo nods graciously. "Thank you." He says softly, smiling slightly. He feels his body relax a bit. He smiles warmly, "You have no idea how grateful I am…"
( I gtg for a little. probably an hour.)
(aight)
"Save it for your first day," Leon says with a small chuckle. She waves them off, and Bastian turns to walk out the doors. Well, this would be fun. He didn't have roommates for several different reasons, though if he was lucky Halo wouldn't have to see those reasons too soon
Halo releases a breath when they're waved away/ He clutches his chest, trying to calm his anxiety. That was a major relief. He has a job. Oh lord, he has a job! He smiles softly and brushes his hair back, releasing a lot of pent up air.
(I'm gonna be gone for maybe another hour but once I'm done I'll be back for good)

Bastian turned to look at Halo, his usual lazy grin back on his face. "See? Leon's chill, and you didn't have to go through the whole 'paper application and interview' thing."
Halo releases a pent up laugh. "Yeah. I'm really relieved." he smiles at the other, "Thank god I bumped into you, right?" he says cheerfully. He runs a hand through his hair, tightening the ponytail, "Thanks."
"No problem, hot stuff," Bastian said with a grin. "Expect a call from Leon in a few days, that'll probably be her telling you when your first day is. You'll probably get put on food runs for the rooms upstairs."
He takes a breath and nods. "Alright…" he mutters softly. He wasn't sure if his money would last him that long. A few days… he gives a tired sigh. So many bills to pay off in so little time.
"Well, you want to go back to the bar, or do you want a quick tour? Might help out a bit when you start your first day," Bastian offered with a shrug
"I'll take a tour real quick, if you don't mind?" He asks, smiling sweetly at the other. He had a certain… vibe around him. It put people at ease, helped people relax.
"No problem," Bastian hummed. "Guess we can start with this floor. Top two floors are for housing, sometimes the top three. A lot of the rooms got busted up a few months ago," he said with a sort of awkward laugh
"How did you manage that, may I ask? Leon clearly hinted you had something to do with it." Halo says with a light laugh.
"I…I may or may not have thought it would be a good idea to have a party in one of the rec rooms downstairs. It…It didn't go down well," Bastian admitted, smiling sheepishly as he pulled his shirt down a bit to expose what looked like a healing burn on his collarbone area
Halo chuckles softly. "I never really attended party's nor did I host them." He says, laughing a little. "Mainly due to the fact that I never had time. I was always so busy with work." He shrugs slowly.
"Well, when you work here, the party sort of comes to you," Bastian joked. He walked towards the elevator, opening it before stepping inside. "I'm usually the one that throws all the parties, though mine tend to be pretty wild."
Halo chuckles, "Remind me to never come to your parties then!" He says teasingly, shaking his blonde hair loose from their bonds. The long curls of what seems to be cascading gold falls around his neck as he huffs some of his bangs from his eyes.
"Says the guy who looks like Rapunzel," Bastian teased. "But hey, my parties are the best. Just wait until you show to one," he said with a small grin
He scoffs. "I do not look like Rapunzel." Halo huffs, "Besides, I can barely sing if I wanted to." That… was a lie. He was told that he could sing, but, he didn't exactly believe it himself. He hums in thought. "Perhaps I'l take you up on your offer, O knight of shining armor." He says, bowing and smirking a little.
"A knight, huh? That's a new one," Bastian hummed. "I usually get called far more scandalous things than a knight," he added, his smile turning to more of a smirk
Halo chuckles, "I've been called a little ray of sunshine, but that's about it… other than what Demetrius said about me…" he growls.
