He looks up, his eyebrow shooting into his hairline. "You're pulling my leg, aren't you?" he asks curiously. "And what would I have to do, if I did agree to work here?" he asks curiously, crossing his legs as he slightly leans back in his chair, watching the other with curious, lavender colored eyes.
"Eh, nothing much. Depends on what you get put on, though the boss is pretty flexible. Take that as you will, but she's pretty nice to us. I'm usually either on bouncer or bartender duty since almost no one has the balls to start shit around someone like me. You usually get to put in a request for what you want to do, and the application is pretty easy," Bastian said with a small shrug
"Being a bartender alright? I used to handle that pretty well back in my old job." He smirks at the other, giving a slight smirk. He sighs softly and sets his drink down, the drink halfway empty. Halo looks around, his eyes glancing at the crowd, before returning his gaze to Bastian.
"Oh yeah," Bastian drawls, a lazy smirk crossing his lips. "Some days are better than others. I usually get put on bouncer duty when I'm feeling a bit more on the angry side, other days I'm bartending. The best part is bartending, though. Hot guys, free booze, and maybe one or two to take home," he said, gold eyes twinkling slyly as he spoke
He raises a brow, finishing his vodka. "Seems fair enough." He says lightly. He hums in thought before looking at the other, "What about you? How long have you been a bar tender?" he asks, placing the empty cup on the bar counter.
"Eh, hard to tell. Just assume it's been a pretty long time. Hell, I even live in the rooms upstairs," Bastian said with a small chuckle. "It's pretty nice. You come in looking for a job, you pretty much get fed and housed for free."
He looks down, humming in thought. "Why the hell not. I'll give it a go. If it doesn't work… eh. I'm already fired." he laughs heartily. Halo chuckles lightly, brushing some stray hair from his face.
"Ay, that's the spirit!" Bastian laughs, grinning as he claps Halo on the shoulder. "How about we go see Leon, hm? She likes up close and personal applications, which makes life easy since they're nice and quick."
Halo shrugs, "Sure. I'm not entirely sober." He says, standing. He chuckles lightly as he stretches, a small bit of his defined torso peeping out from under his button up shirt as he joins the other.
"Oh don't worry, I was wasted off my ass when I had my interview," Bastian chuckles. He couldn't help the way his eyes were drawn to the sliver of Halo's torso peeking out from beneath his shirt, and he wasn't exactly subtle when he stared
Halo glanced at the other, "Like what you see~?" He purrs, gently flicking Bastian's nose. He chuckles and sets a hand on his hip. "Shall we go then?" he asks curiously.
Bastian's eyes widened almost comically as Halo flicked his nose, though he the lazy smirk returned to his face as he quickly recovered. "Follow me, pretty boy," he hummed before beginning to walk towards the back of the dance floor
Halo nods, following after the other, almost looking like a stray cat around. Halo grew curious as they walked to the back of the dance floor.
Bastian walked to the very back of the dance floor, past the professional dancers and towards a set of gold-rimmed elevator doors that stood out against the nightclub's dark walls. There was a "No Entry" sign next to it, but Bastian ignored it as he pushed the button to open the doors and stepped inside
Halo just followed, his lavender eyes inspecting everything in sight as he stands beside the other. He taps his foot lightly with the beat.
Bastian closed the doors behind him, pressing the button for the top floor before folding his arms and leaning against the back of the elevator. He couldn't help the way his eyes occasionally trailed over to Halo, though he wasn't making it clear if it was on purpose or not
Halo had his eyes closed as he leaned against the wall, his arms folded across his chest. His hair fell back behind his ear, and his legs were crossed casually. His mind wasn't really focused on anything, just, swirling around with thoughts. He might be working here now, or he could get denied and hopefully find another job soon. Either or, he was kind of nervous.
Eventually the elevator slowed to a stop, and Bastian smiled a bit as the doors open. "Follow me," he hummed as he stepped out of the elevator
He opens his eyes and follows after Bastian. His eyes are wide with curiosity. He hums softly, placing his hands in his pockets.
Bastian glanced around the oddly empty halls, hands in his pockets as he does so. This hall seemed more like the top floor of a hotel, and it was strangely empty. He eventually arrived at a set of gold-rimmed double doors. "You ready?" he asked with a small smile
Halo nods and stands beside the other, "Ready as I'll ever be." He says, shrugging.
Bastian smiles a bit at that. He pushed the doors open into a lavish room, with gold décor covering nearly every inch of the room. In the middle of the room is a large chair, almost like a throne. In it sat a bored-looking woman lying leisurely in the it. At the sound of the doors opening she looked over at them, her strange gold eyes shimmering faintly. "Got a newbie for you, Leon," Bastian hums
Halo's eyes widen at the lavishly decorated room. He was a middle class worker, and the only gold he really saw were on jewelry. He glances over the woman, suddenly feeling nervous under her gold gaze. He gulps quietly, his hair falling a small bit into his eyes, his lavender orbs staring in a subtle way at the woman in front of him.
The woman stared silently at him for a long moment. It was clear she was on the wealthy side, though where most people would be tense Bastian seemed completely at ease. He looked over at Halo, a small smile working its way across his face. "Well, introduce yourself," he said as he gave Halo's arm a nudge
Halo looks at the other, gives a small smile in return before returning his gaze towards the woman. He takes a small breath. "My name's Halo Starr." He says, "I'm looking for a job, Bastian offered to let me talk to you about a possible job offering?" He says, his voice steady, airy and soothing. Somehow, he made others feel at ease when he talked. His friends called it a gift.
