Dakota chuckled at his words. “Oh, I see. And that’s fun for you?”
Dakota chuckled at his words. “Oh, I see. And that’s fun for you?”
"No, but we have no choice, so I just choose to enjoy it as much as I can!" He perked up. "Oh! Me and my friends run a haunted house on the weekends!"
“Really? Wow. That’s cool!” Dakota exclaimed, her eyebrows shooting up in surprise. “How popular is it?”
(Oh is that what you were fishing for?)
"Pretty popular I guess," Ender felt his ears starting to grow hot, a sure sign he would blush within the next 2 minutes. "Nessa and Blaine are the real hustlers there. And Jane. She painted the tombstones and does the makeup. The rest of us just muck about."
(Kinda, yeah. Lol.)
“Oh, that sounds like fun! Those must be your friends, then?” Dakota assumed, shooting a quick smile at him.

"Yeah," He nodded. "Venus also does makeup, except she does the more detailed stuff. She's really good at it."
“How long have you guys been doing this?” Dakota asked as they walked.
"It'll be a year in April," Ender said. "What about you? What do people from the tree state do for fun?"
(low-key has no idea)
Dakota shrugged, looking thoughtful for a moment. “I just like to go on walks or hang out with my friends,” she answered, chuckling a bit. “I’m rather boring, honestly.”
(There's a lot of bike riding there as well as people just sitting on their decks enjoying the almost constant rain lol)
"I doubt that," Ender smiled. "Nobody is really boring."
(Lol. Okay, thanks for the info!)
Dakota clicked her tongue with a shrug. “I suppose you’re right. But I really don’t do much besides that. Oh, and I sing a little.”

"Really?!" Ender looked at her. "INow that's one thing I've always been bad at. Are you part of any groups?"
“Just the choir at school,” Dakota said, glancing at him with a small smile. “It’s pretty small, though, and not very exclusive.”
"That's cool!" Ender giggled.
The group exited the airport building and climbed aboard the bus waiting for them.
Ender started towards the back of the bus, assuming Dakota would want to go hang with her friends.
Dakota stopped him with a hand on his arm. “Come sit with me. There’s room.”
(Hey wanna RP? I've already said g'night to most of my friends and am kinda bored lol)
"Really?" Ender asked. "Your friends won't mind?"
(Lol. I'll be here for as long as I have wifi. Unless it doesn't get shut off. Then between 11 and 1.)
Dakota shrugged and started for her seat. "Probably not. And if they do, they can deal."
"Okay!" Ender followed her like an eager puppy, happy he'd found someone to introduce him to other people so he wouldn't have to do the awkward introduction thing.
(Ah, I have to make more random characters now… Yay…)
Dakota led him to a spot near the middle of the bus, where some kids were crowed up to three a seat, even though it was technically against the rules. A tall blonde leaned over one of the seats, her arms resting in the back of the seat in front of her as she pushed herself up on her tiptoes. A dark-haired boy sat in the seat beside her, leaning back in a very relaxed-looking way as he gave Dakota a small smile. Another boy, this one very blond, though it didn't look dyed, was scribbling in a notebook in the seat across the isle from them, and a very similar-looking girl sat beside him and watched over his shoulder.
"Ender, this is Willow–" The tall blonde girl. "Sterling–" The chill guy. "Fox, and Robyn–" The twins. "Guys, this is Ender. He's from Minnesota."
Ender gave a small wave. "Hello!"
He suddenly remembered he left his mother behind with no warning. He really should call her, but he didn't want to be rude, so he just tried not to grimace as he smiled at the Dakota's friends.
"Hey," Willow greeted him with a small smile as she sat down beside Sterling, who simply nodded in response.
Fox didn't look up from his art but managed to murmur a "'Sup."
"Minnesota? Cool. You like the snow?" Robyn wondered as she glanced up at him with a grin. "And the cold? How cold does it get there?"
"Pretty cold." He replied. "One time the snow piled up to our front door."
Everyone’s headed whipped up at this statement.
“Really? That’s a lot of snow,” Willow mused.
Ender chuckled, starting to fiddle with the keychain on his backpack. "Yeah," He cleared his throat. "So what are you guys' interests?"
“Art,” Fox answered immediately, his gaze back down on whatever he was drawing. He drew on anything and everything, as long as it wouldn’t get him in trouble.
Willow shrugged and checked her nails. “I like dance and stuff. Mostly contemporary type things.”
Robyn grinned at Ender as she looked back up at him from her twin’s artwork. “I like hiking and nature. I know a lot about animals,” she answered easily.
“I just do whatever, really. Football is one of my favorites right now. Otherwise, I kinda help out wherever,” Sterling answered with a loose shrug.
Dakota made her way over to the empty seat that was right in front of Sterling and Willow. “Here, come sit, Ender,” she said, patting the empty space beside her.
