"Bloody great show!" White exclaimed, clapping loudly.
Hugh just gave a small nod, his face displaying zero emotion.

Hugh just gave a small nod, his face displaying zero emotion.
"You two go ahead," Fane said, slightly panting from the adrenaline rush. She loved getting into fights, something about the thrill of danger and the fast pace of it.
It was obvious from the start that Hugh was going to win the fight, just because of the weight and height difference. White could barely reach the giant's head when he tried to throw a punch and in seconds ended up flat of his back as a result from a kick to the chest.
"Seems as though Hugh will do fine," Anto said, rubbing his nose on the back of his hand.
Fane snorted and shot a sideways glance over at Anto. "And you didn't think that before? Look at the dude. He doesn't even need training to be efficient. He's practically an immovable tower of muscle." She spoke lowly so the two sparing men didn't hear her talking to Anto about them.
"Poor White," he mumbled, watching the smaller man pop right back to his feet and go at Hugh again. "Persistent, though. Tough, too. I would have been down for days if I took a hit like that."
"At least there's that," Fane said with a nod of approval as she watched White go at it again. "He might not stand a chance against Hugh, but he's sure got the determination and touch skin to hold his own."
"And it is not like he will be fighting guys the size of him on a regular basis, Anto said, as White was sent to his back once again.
"Very true," she agreed again. "He'll have an advantage once we do encounter one. He'll have the experience, thanks to Hugh." She cringed as White got knocked onto his ass yet again, then hopped right back up to do it all over again. "Okay, persistent or stubborn?"
"Both. Mixed with a bit of stupid," Anto said, stepping forward and breaking the fight. "Alright, alright, that's enough."
Fane stood back with her arms crossed, letting Anto take charge to see if she made the right decision in making him co-leader. Who knows? Maybe she'd simply step back and let him take charge of this rag-tag group.
"Nah, mate, I'm jus' getting started!" White said, bouncing in place with energy.
"You take another kick and you are at risk of your chest collapsing," Anto said, shaking his head. "It is enough."
The older man squinted down at the young prince, as if deciding if he should sock him in the mouth or listen. He chose the latter, and stepped back. "Alrigh', fine."
Anto turned to Fane, raising an eyebrow. "Think that's enough for today?"
Fane nodded, stepping up and giving White a look that said she agreed with Anto—he needed to learn his limits. "Yeah, that's enough for now. White, you go make sure nothing internal is damaged. Hugh, good job. However, I might suggest not trying to kill your teammates."
Hugh shrugged, slipping his huge hands into his pockets. "He jus' kept runnin' at me. What else was I suppose to do?"
"That is…..fair, I guess." Anto gave him a pat on the shoulder. "You can go ahead and go ashore if you wish. There is not much to do at the moment."
She nodded in agreement, gesturing around the ship. "The rest of the crew usually take this time to stock up or socialize or pick up jobs we might be able to snatch." She wasn't interested in doing any of that, but they didn't need to know that. She'd rather some quiet time.
Hugh gave a casual salute and headed for the bridge.
"I am surprised that piece of wood can hold up under that much weight," Anto said, a grimace of pain he'd been trying to hide the entire day finally slipping through. "Christ, my knees hurt."
Fane glanced over at Anto, then sighed and slipped an arm around his neck and pulled him towards the cabins, heading for his and Mercedes' cabin. "And this is why you sit down and let yourself heal instead of being stubborn and walking all day."
"I have not been walking all day. I have been training," he said, leaning into her and wrapping his arm around her side. "Per the captain's request."
She sighed and shook her head, using her free hand to open the door leading to all of the cabins. "Yes, but perhaps you should be a little less hard on yourself, what with your legs still healing." She rolled her eyes, though a small smile twitched at the corner of her mouth. Dumbass, but my favorite dumbass.
"That is so boring," he whined, wrinkling his nose up at the notion. "I would not be able to keep my sanity if I was not allowed to walk."
She chuckled, rolling her eyes at his whine. "You're such a big baby," she teased, eyes alight with amusement as she approached the door to his cabin.
"You know I can walk perfectly fine now, right?" Anto asked, but didn't pull away. It was something he'd gotten used to a while ago.
"Says the man who's not forcing his way out of my incredibly breakable grasp," she said, brow raised. She opened the cabin door and let go of him, but only to grab the front of his shirt and pull him in behind her.
"Again, you could just say, "Anthony, come in," you know," he said, then locked eyes with Mercedes and pulled a face. "Oh. Yeah, I have not told you of my past, have I?" he asked.
Fane turned to look at the silently amused doctor, perched on her bed with a book in her lap. Fane rolled her eyes and made herself at home on the edge of Anto's bed, grabbing his pillow to hug it to her body and rest her chin on it.
Mercedes shrugged and made an indifferent gesture, not caring about his past.
He sat down next to her, sighing in relief. "My legs are killing me, as usual. Are you sure this is just normal soreness?"
