"Merry Watch," Fane answered, slightly turning to catch him in the corner of her eye but not too much to get herself shot—she quite liked life, believe it or not.
"Merry Watch," Fane answered, slightly turning to catch him in the corner of her eye but not too much to get herself shot—she quite liked life, believe it or not.
"You can turn around now," he said, holstering his pistol. "I'll join your crew.."
Fane turned and rose a brow. That was fuckin' easy. "Really?" she questioned before she could keep her trap shut.
"The police force 'round here are on the look-out for me," the man admitted. "But I highly doubt they're smart enough to search the ships. Or brave enough, for that matter."
"Smart move, I must say," she said with a nod. The others should be there already, except Johnnie." She raised a brow. "You wouldn't happen to know where she is, would you?"
"The lady? She's knocked out over there in the bush," he said, gesturing over to where she had disappeared a few minutes ago.
She sighed. "Alright, at least she's not dead. Feel free to head to the ship. Wouldn't want you to get caught because of us." She tilted her head towards the vague direction of the docks.
He gave a salute and jogged towards the dock.
"We forgot something very crucial," Anto said, turning to Fane.
"That is?" she asked with a raised brow while turning to look at Anto and bending down to grab her ax.
"We forgot to ask for that gentleman's name." He reached down with a wince, grabbing his knife and slipping it back into the belt.
"We'll get it on the ship. Not extremely crucial." She hooked her ax in its spot on her back, then looked to Anto with her hands on her hips. "Well, I guess you didn't have to handle on your own after all."
"He forced you hand," he said with a shrug, limping over to the bushes and looking into them. "She is, indeed, unconscious."
"I don't appreciate it," she grumbled, then came up behind Anto and peered at Johnnie. "Aw, that's not fun. How're we supposed to by her back to the ship?"
"I supposed we will have to carry her." He pulled her out of the bush and into the path, frowning down at her unmoving body.
Fane made a noise in the back of her throat, face twisting slightly. "Fine, but let's make it quick. People'll probably think we murdered her."
"Eh, there is no blood on her person, so I doubt that's a possibility." He leaned over with a grunt and puller her arm over his shoulder, hefting her up onto her feet.
(Jesus Christ you and your videos. But I will watch it once I get there)
Fane took the other arm, holding her other side and helping Anto. "See? Almost got yourself killed again thanks to the sharpshooter," she said with a playful smirk. "At least you didn't do anything stupid."
"I thought about throwing an elbow behind me," he admitted as they began walking, "But I think he was holding the gun at arm's length."
(So, my plan was to make Anto either Fane's height or an inch shorter. How tall is she?)
(5'7)
She rolled her eyes dramatically with a sigh. "Goddamnit Anto. I don't want to have to drag your ass to Mercedes every fucking week because you're trying to play hero." She shook her head, though we shoulders shook with silent laughter and her lips were pulled up in a slight smile.
"Hey, I did not actually do it," he defended himself, pulling Johnnie's arm a bit father over his shoulder. "It was just a thought."
"A thought that would've been put into action had he not been standing too far away," she countered, still looking amused as she looked over at him.
"….Yes, maybe," he admitted, smiling to himself.
"Is she alright?" a passerby asked them, gesturing to Johnnie.
"Oh, yeah," the prince said, giving the person a thumbs up. "She just drank a bit too much."
Fane looked over and seconded the prince's words. "Told her to be mindful, but what can 'ya do?" she said with a shrug and disappointed smile.
"Oh, gotcha." The man walked off, and they continued to the dock without any issues. Two of the crewment took the unconcious body off of their hands and dragged her up the "bridge."
"Fane!" Mumchance called from the deck, "Cap'n wants ye and the newbie in his cabin!"
