Willow marched along the trail, her fists clenched as she closed her eyes. She really wasn't paying attention to wear she was going.
"Willow don't do this, Willow don't go there, Willow will you listen to us? Willow this, Willow that, ugh!" Being alone and away from her kingdom, she spoke to herself.
"Why don't they understand I'm my own person? They are never right about anything I do!" She sighed, remembering the argument she was in with her parents about an hour before. She had snuck out of the castle and off to the ocean on the far side of the border. What could've gone wrong with that!?
Walking angrily in silence, she let her fists uncurl as she approached the border to the other kingdoms territory.
Might as well add the fire, right? Not like she would run into anybody or anything. Just to make sure no guards or anything were around, she looked around the area, stepping across the tree line.
Now she was in their lands, but not by much. But she kept walking, confident she could turn around whenever she wanted and have no one know she was there until she told dear Mom and Dad.
Btw you don't have to make long posts lel, most of my starters are like that))
Hello?))
(Sorry. School has been overwhelming)
Isaac sat in his throne, overlooking a group of angry men and women who had come to his court to yell at him. Oh, how he hated these forums. So many useless or unsolvable problems. He cared about them of course but it made him feel guilty and annoyed after hearing so many problems he could do nothing about. He propped his arm up on the armrest and leaned his head on his hand.
It's fine lol, I understand))
Willow saw the walls of the other kingdom appear before her and she froze.
How long have I been walking? She thought to herself, cursing slightly. She brought her hand up to the braid on her shoulder, throwing it behind her back as she turned and looked back the way she came. Maybe she should head back home, this might have been a bad idea after all. She was close enough to be spotted by the guard if they were even near the wall. Had she been fed up enough to really cross the border? Of course. She would get frustrated with herself soon, already preparing for a fight with her family when sh does return home. But she didn't want to go back just yet.
Willow, don't be dumb. Don't be dummbb.
Isaac continued to sit through the rants until a relatively old man came up. This caught his eye. The man spoke of people in the kingdom discussing a coming war. He was asking if it was true. At first, Isaac thought he was just delusional, he was old after all. Then he realized that it was a genuine concern. He whispered something to his nearby advisor and then listened carefully to what the man had to say about it.
Nah, let's have some fun first. Looking around, Willow found a relatively open area a bit closer to the wall.
Willow this is dumb, this is dumb, don't push limits Willow! She kept thinking to herself. But it'll be funny! She bent to the ground, scooping up a larger rock with one hand, using her other hand to pull the hood of her cloak up. The large crest of her kingdom on the left side of her cloak worried her, but it would be quick. Moving to the open area, she stood behind a tree until a guard came into sight. She whistled to get their attention and once they were close enough, she bashed them upside the head with the rock, watching as they fell.
"Hell yeah. I feel like that was lucky though, I can barely sneak up on my own family let alone another kingdoms guard." She spoke aloud unconsciously, dropping the rock.
Suddenly, a guard came rushing into the room. "Someone just attacked a guard, your majesty." He bowed quickly and stood there, out of breath, having clearly run there. Isaac's mind raced as he watched the old man's face erupt with fear. Now, what was he supposed to do? "Double the guard then." He tried to sound confident.
"Kay, now to leave. Dunno why I wanted to do that." Willow turned, pulling her braid through her hood and back down over her shoulder. She slowly made her way back the way she thought she came. Yet still overly confident in herself. She quietly hummed a song she had learned when she was little.
The guards rushed out of the room and towards the person who had thrown the rock. "TRESPASSER! HOW DARE YOU!?!?" They yelled.
Hearing the shouts Willow froze up for a split second. "I dunno!" She shouted back, before starting to run. Willow was very hard headed, clearly not even thinking through crossing the border in the first place. Clenching her fists she tried her hardest not to slap herself.
The guards chased after her and the Prince watched from the tower window. He noticed the symbol on her jacket and clenched his fist. It seemed like it was about time for a war.
"Wooww, I'm an idiot. I blame my parents." She huffed, attempting to pick up speed. The dress she was wearing caught under her foot and she tripped.
Dammit.
She attempted to scurry back up to her feet.
The guards caught up to her and grabbed her from behind. "Who are you? Do you dare to attack the palace?"
Willow stayed quiet, clenching her fists as she turned only her head to look at the guards. No doubt if she said her name or her hood was pushed down they would know who she was, if not she would be rather surprised. She kept her mouth shut, even though she didn't want to. Should she push the one grabbing her away? No, she wouldn't be strong enough alone like she was. Rock? No, can't get that.
Great! Just great, Willow!
"DON'T MOVE" The guards drew the swords while the other two held her back.
Willow only slowly lowered her head, raising her hands up in a surrender like way. No way she was easily getting out of this pickle.
"SHOW YOUR FACE." They demanded. Isaac continued to watch as they prodded her and made sure she didn't leave. He couldn't bring himself to look away.
"It's not normal," Willow started as she raised her hands up to her hood. "For a princess to answer to a guard." Pulling her hood down, she revealed her pale and barely freckled face. "Guess I really messed up, huh?" She brought her head back up, looking at the guards again.
The guards stepped back in shock. "Princess…" They growled.
Willow stepped away from them when they moved back, turning back away from them to look at where she stepped.
"I know, shocking." She took another step.
They lowered their swords tentatively then one spoke up. "We release you with a warning. The prince will be told of this encounter. You will be put to just." Then he prodded her back in the direction of the other kingdom. "Please leave the grounds."
She smiled. "Gladly. Maybe my dear parents will hold off the war with this act, eh?" She pulled her hood back up. "I mean, we'd win anyway. If I took out one of you alone, that's saying something." And with that she was marching along, somewhat satisfied.
Idiots.
