"But either way, I wish we could leave. I don't… I don't like being in public much."
"But either way, I wish we could leave. I don't… I don't like being in public much."
"Yes, I understand." John nodded. Hello darkness my old friend…
"I mean, I could handle The Queen just fine but…." he shuddered.
John laughed at the memory of Buckingham Palace. "Oh yeah, remember when you stole the ashtray?"
"Yes, I do."
"That was a good day." John leaned back in his seat. "I wonder if we still have it."
"Yes, I kept it."
"Hmm." John nodded.
"Okay, one salad and mushroom ravioli." The waitress appeared out of nowhere with their dishes.
"Yes, you can go now." Sherlock said. He just wanted to go home and sit in his chair to correct the telly.
The waitress frowned and walked away.
"Looks delicious," John mumbled to himself as he began to eat. Never going to happen. He thought solemnly.
"Let's hurry up and go home." Sherlock muttered.
"Look, Sherlock if you don't want to be here, just go home," John said, frustrated.
"Mycroft." Sherlock said, as if that explained everything.
"Just…" John sighed. "Never mind." He clenched his jaw and folded his hands.
"Am I bothering you?"
"No," John said. "It's you. You seem so bothered by being here. I just thought we would have a nice time."
"Clearly, you aren't."
"I'm a high functioning sociopath. I don't "Have A Good Time" and you know that. And I don't like being in public."
"Well, I thought that if I was with you, then maybe it would be different." John folded his arms.
(gtg soon)
(Kk) "You thought wrong. But I do feel a bit better with you around. I guess."
