(Yeah, I'm keeping it as Ryder.)
"You don't have to do this in the future. It's okay." Theo answered, looking ahead towards Ryder as he sat down. It was true. He also loved going on small dates with him in the town, just looking around at all the new places.
"Don't tell me I can do something nice for you. If I want to take you out to this expensive as fuck restaurant then I will." He ignored the looks and glares and whispers he got for cursing. He didn't care what they thought.
Theo chuckled lightly at his sudden protectiveness, glancing over at the people staring at them. "Well, thank you. This means a lot to me." He answered, looking towards Ryder again and smiling.
He gave him a small smile. When the waiter came over, he got them a bottle of wine. He had enough saved up that he could afford them this dinner, though he'd probably be eating ramen noodles for the couple months.
"You never told me what your tattoos meant," Theo finally said after he took a sip from the wine that the waiter had set down in front of him. He had always wanted one, but he couldn't decide what he wanted. One of his faults; being indecisive.
(I think that Ryder has tattoos based on the appearance pic, but correct me if I'm wrong)
(He does.)
Ryder took a sip of his wine. He it down and rolled up the sleeves of his button up. "Each one has different meanings. Most of which isn't the most appropriate for this setting." He lowered his voice. "Maybe I'll tell you later." He said, basically inviting himself into Theo's home. He wouldn't take Theo to his place. It wasn't, well it wasn't the best place to be.
"Later? Like…tonight later?" Theo asked, a faint blush spreading across his cheeks. God, he must have sounded so stupid. I honestly wonder how these things end up coming out of my mouth. . . He thought, cursing himself for sounding desperate.
"Um, well, that's what I meant by later. I'm sure everyone would know that." Ryder said as though it was the most obvious thing ever. He took another sip of his wine.
"Of course. Sorry, that sounded stupid." Theo said quickly, rubbing the back of his neck embarrassingly as he picked up his cup again and took another sip.
He chuckled deeply. He picked up the menu and started to look through it. "What are you going to order?" He asked him.
"This," Theo replied, turning the menu around to show Ryder. It was something cheaper than most of the items on the menu, but it still sounded amazing. Better than half of the things he could make at home.
He nodded. "You don't have to worry about money Theo. You can get something else if you want to."
"No, this sounds really good, trust me. I don't think I could eat a whole steak by myself, either." Theo replied, motioning towards another menu item.
Ryder shrugged and nodded. When the waiter came by he ordered their food. "Anything else you want?" He asked him.
( sorry, I had to eat)
"I'm alright, thanks," Theo answered, watching him talk to the waiter. If it were him, he would have screwed up a few times. For some reason, he needed to rehearse what he said to waiters before he ordered.
Ryder nodded and handed their menus to the waiter. He looked back at his date once the waiter walked away. He cracked his buckles then leaned back in his chair. He crossed his arms over his chest.
Theo glanced down at Ryder's knuckles as he cracked them, his green eyes widening slightly in question as he looked back up. This was the Ryder that he had met on their first date. The bad boy type, laid-back guy.
(Shit, I'm so awkward. Idk what to do next.)
Ryder glared at the people who dared to look at him and Theo with that…look. He grabbed Theo's hands, hoping to keep his attention from mean and homophobic people. He didn't want them to ruin their time together.
( Lmao, same. We can do a couple more scenes and time skip if that easier.)
Theo took Ryder's hands in his own, glancing towards an older couple across from them. They continued to look at them like their date was wrong. With that look. He hated it when people did that. Theo looked back, trying for a small smile.
(Lol. Yeah, sounds good.)
Ryder kissed his knuckles gently. "Just look at me. Fuck all of them. Actually, no. Don't fuck them. Fuck me. They can piss off." He said. He was partly trying to make him feel better and he meant the other part of it.
Theo nodded, a crooked smile tilting one corner of his lips up as he felt a faint blush spread across his cheeks at the last part. He glanced over at the couple again and could feel stares from other tables on his back. Why did people always have to judge them? He hated it. "They're idiots. . ."
Ryder squeezed his hands reassuringly. "Want to play a game? It's called which one of us can get kicked out of here the fastest." He said.
Theo grinned at that, looking back towards the manager who was sorting menus in the front of the restaurant. "I'd love to. Wanna go first?"
