"Oh! Hey, thank you!" She hummed, pulling the box with her as she shuffled out. "Sorry, I tried to clean up some, but my room is still messy." She laughed, coming out from under the bed.

"It's alright." he responded with a little chuckle "So is that the player?"

"Yup, just have to get it out of the box." Joanna laughed, unfolding the top of the box. "Thank you again."

He helped her unpack and smiled "no problem Jo!" He seemed excited to see his girlfriend's past

"It won't be anything exciting, trust me." She mumbled, lifting her green eyes to rest on him. "I just don't want you to expect these great things."

"Well normal…I like normal. My past was far from that so it's…kinda appealing to just see regular family things." he shrugged and looked over to see how to set up the player

"If you say so." She shrugged, unplugging her DVD player. Pulling it out, she set it aside, leaving a space for the VCR. "Do you know how to plug it in, or do you need me to?"

"Nah this stuff is old I know how to do it." he responded and pulled the VCR in place of the DVD player and plugged all the cords in "Just about ready." he mumbled

“Alright love.” She hummed standing up. Ruffling his hair, she turned and shuffled through the box of tapes. ’Which terrible childhood memory do I want to be reminded of…’

The plugged on last thing in and popped his head back out from and said "Alrighty beautiful I only need a tape!"

She pulled one out, and actually smiled. It was videos from her uncle’s farm. “Here, this one is more recent.”

He gently took it from her and carefully loaded it in then hit play.

Joanna sat on the couch, curling up so she could leave a space for him. “This was at my Uncle Tom’s house, he has a farm house.”

"aw that's nice. I remember growing up near the countryside before Ember went to the academy." Tempest commented as he sat next to her and hit play

Joanna leaned into him, smiling softly. She didn’t care what they were watching, Tempest would hold her close so she could ignore it.

He indeed held her close and would comment "It looks beautiful there, like the air is cleaner than over here."

"It probably is." She laughed lightly, her eyes falling closed. "It's down in Tennessee."

"Ah we lived in South Carolina for a while." he said as he gently stroked her hair

"I grew up in Michigan." She hummed, looking up to him. "Stillwater, Michigan to be exact." She mumbled, studying his features.

"Ah I was always a southern child before the move…sadly never quite developed the accent." he chuckled "Marietta Georgia, east cobb was were I lived." he muttered as he eyes stayed on the screen, a child-like wonder filling them as he watched the farm

"Sounds nice, I'd love to see see it." She whispered, lacing their fingers. She liked getting to hold his hand, it was nice in hers'.

"Maybe…mom and dad…they may want to see me…they thought I was gonna get a 'real career' so I dunno if they're quite over my decision yet." Tempest smiled a bit and squeezed her hand a bit

"I could go with you. Show them your success, bring me." She hummed, looking up. Being gentle, she kissed his neck below his jaw. "You're really hot, to me at least."

He smiled and exposed his neck further "That's not a bad idea. You are the best thing to happen to me up here." his eyes were taken off the screen and to her eyes

"Is that so?" She hummed, sitting up more to continue kissing him. Something was nagging at her, but she didn't know what. All she knew, was this was distracting her.
