And with that, she fell into a sleep with a smile on her face. A peaceful look was about her, as she curled up and dozed off.
He carefully carried her to his room and set her down under his covers. He hummed gently and got in next to her, wrapping his arms around Jo.
(Timeskip until morning I'm assuming?)
(yep)
Jo had woken up a few times, and dozed off over the stretch of the night, but always in Tempest's arms. So when sunlight started to filter through his window, she just laid there in his firm hold. Whispering a soft song to herself, she ran her hand down his chest absentmindedly.
Tempest stirred in his sleep. His ears twitched a bit as his eyes slowly open and begin to focus themselves, blinking sleep out of them.
Looking up, she smiled. "Morning Temp." She whispered, still tracing circles on his chest with the tip of her finger.
"Mornin' Jo. How'd you sleep?" He asked her, shivering just a small bit at her gentle touch
Her hand laid flat now, and she changed her gaze to that. "Fine I guess." She shrugged, not wanting to mention her on and off night.
His expression turned to a slightly questioning one "You sure? I know I can sometimes toss and turn." Though last night he had been completely still with her in his arms
"Pretty sure, what about you?" She asked, looking back up to him. "How'd you sleep last night? Well I'm hoping." She mentioned, resting her head against his chest.
"Best in a while with you beside me." Temp smiled and let out another one of his happy little whines
"That's a nice thing to hear." She giggled some, and sat up. Stretching, she leaned over and kissed his nose. "You know, it probably looks a little strange with us sleeping together." She admitted, leaning forward and resting her chin on her palms.
"A bit…" Tempest sat up as well "but I feel closer than ever with you and strange or not I'm glad we did."
Joanna giggled, leaning over closer to him. "As long as things don't get taken too far." She winked, not really expecting something of the sorts from sweet innocent Tempest.
"I wouldn't do that Jo. I'm taking this at a pace we're both comfortable with." He responded, leaning over to give her a small peck
“I know that silly.” She bumped his arm with her own. “I really wasn’t expecting anything of the sorts from you.”
"Yeah just…when you're ready to take that step just know I'm okay with it. Alright?" His words seemed sincere and while he was smiling his eyes had a trusting look to them, for he trusted Jo more than anything in the world and knew or at least hoped that she did too.
Joanna rested her head on his shoulder, relaxing some. "Of course babe, I'll let you know." She whispered, slipping her hand into his. She did indeed trust him, and she knew it would hurt a lot if he ever did leave. It would be hard, and she wasn't sure she could get over it.
"Alright beautiful what do you wanna do today?" He questioned as he gripped her hand "Cause I can push back my arrival at the studio since you have to work later."
"It's fine Tempest, you don't have to." She yawned, relaxing into his hold. "But if you really want to, we could just hang out around town. I don't have anything specific in mind." Shrugging, she sat up again. "Though I might fall back asleep if we stay here."
"Nothing wrong with that." He chuckled as he sat up as well. Truth be told sleep felt great after such a busy week but he also wasn't the type of person to do nothing all day.
“Well we can nap later, maybe while watching a movie or something.” She suggested with a shrug. “But for now let’s get up, and I can make breakfast.”
"If you need any help I'd be happy to." Tempest mentioned as he rolled out of bed and noticed the bed wasn't too covered in fur "Hey looks like shedding season is coming to a close." he chuckled
"Great, I won't have to worry about your fur sticking to my clothes." She giggled, tossing her hair over her shoulder to be dramatic. "What do you have for breakfast?" She asked sliding off the bed and walking out of his room.
