"Doctor, are you alright?" Alison asked. "Oh, never better, never better. Just thinking about things. Ah, Alison, do you think you might want to go home, see Joe again? You know, just… ah, you understand me." he said. "No, I don't think I do. Look, you never ask me to leave, I always ask you about things like this. What's the matter?" Alison asked, sitting down next to the Doctor. "Well, it's just… I'm worried about you." he sighed. "I've lost too many people, and I don't want to go losing you. You just remind me of someone too much, and…. I don't want to lose you." he said. "Oh, come off it, since when did you have emotions?" Alison said, whacking his arm. "Honestly, we're going to be fine. There's really nothing to worry about." she said. "But what if we keep going on like this? What happens then? What happens if I'm standing over your grave, your broken body, over Joe's body? Death is unavoidable, Alison. But I don't want to cause it for you." he said. "How d'you mean Joe? He's never travelled with us before, you know." Alison said. "Alison, I'm just speculating. He might. I mean, you're getting married, and if you still haven't told him about us yet, there's going to be a few issues." the Doctor answered. "Why? Time machine, I can be home in time for tea. He'd never know I was gone. Besides, home was never stinking old Lannet, home is the TARDIS. She's just…. where I know I belong. And thank God I found her, and you, and even your android of sass as well." she grinned. "Anyways, I'm going to rest until we arrive, so don't bother me. Seriously, don't." Alison said, moving to a row of seats in the back of the plane.
A few hours later, they reached the destination, and everyone left the plane. Alison was glad to touch stable ground again, and they were taken to a meeting room. Kate explained exactly what the Shining Dawn corporation was, and the suspicions that has been aroused by it to the Doctor, and they went interviewing people, going from building to building. "So, apparently the company makes some sort of tonic that helps with brain development, and also produces some sort of show. Goruda. All the tests have come back as plain water, but since it has been visibly improving the child's mind, we thought it might be good to have you look into it." she said, ask they walked down the hallway of an apartment building.
