Alison fell over as the ship jolted, she felt grateful she hadn't gone flying across the room. "I guess we've landed wherever we're supposed to be landing. And the Doctor's been piloting. Seriously, why doesn't he just let the robot pilot? The chances of needing to vomit from sea… space…. timesickness are much lower when he does. The Doctor on the other hand, well, you can probably see why I'm not a big fan of his driving." she said, slowly standing up and brushing herself off.

Will and Nico had fallen on top of each other, a mess of limbs and were laughing a bit. Nico gets off of Will and chuckles. "Yeah, I can see that." Will nods in agreement.

"Anyway, let's go see what it is now." Alison said. "The Doctor mentioned doing a favor for someone, I really hope they don't turn out to be a sociopathic Time Lord again." she walked to the door, holding it open for Will and Nico.

Alison hurries down the corridors back to the console room. "Hey, Doctor, where are we going now?" Alison asked. "Oh, you'll see." he said, pushing open the doors. They were in the middle of a military base of sorts, a group of men in black uniforms with red caps on, saluting him. An older man with grey hair and a woman about in her late 30s, blond, walked up. "Doctor! It's so good to see you, old chap. We've much to catch up on, eh?" the older man said. "Everyone, this is Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, and…." he didn't know the name of the other woman, so he glanced at the Brigadier, hoping for a helpful comment as to who she was. "My daughter, Kate." Alistair said helpfully. "Yes, Kate, lovely to meet you. Alistair, this is Alison, Will, and Nico." the Doctor introduced each of them in turn. "Great Scott, they keep getting younger." he muttered as the Doctor introduced the group. "Anyways, Doctor, let's go to the meeting room to discuss the situation. You could bring your companions along, it you like. I'm sure they'd like to get the proper information, if they are working with you on this."

"It's wonderful to make your acquaintance as well. Through here, please," Alistair said, leading them into a room where several men and women were gathered around, talking quietly. As soon as they saw the Doctor, they all saluted. "Oh, now don't do that, I don't do the saluting. Now, I assume I've been called back to Earth for very good reason, so don't beat around the bush with formalities and describe what is going on." the Doctor said, sitting down and kicking his feet up on the table. Kate winced, leaning over to Alison and asking, "Is he normally this rude?" Alison responded with a nod and whispered back, "You've hardly seen him in action. Although it's mainly directed at the robot, so it's not too much of a bother." "Robot?" "I have no idea, he's weird. Honestly, I have to tell them to get a room sometimes, they're kinda-" "What?!" Kate asked loudly, disturbing the others in the room. A few flares were shot their way, but the meeting continued. "Don't ask. Seriously, don't." Alison said. Kate resolved to assuming that Time Lords were incredibly strange, and that Alison must be a highly tolerant woman to deal with what she assumed was being implied on a normal basis. "One of our top agents, Mr. Okada, was found dead outside the Shining Dawn Corporation. Pushed out of a window. He was investigating alien activity, undercover work." a woman explained. "We were hoping you would be able to investigate this, Doctor."

Will walks towards them, as do Nico. "We can assist. Nico can analyze the body, he has a knack for the dead. I can look around the area, if you wish." Will says. Nico nods, glancing around at the people.

"Well, it's not anywhere near here, Mr…" the woman struggled for Will's name. "Nevermind. We've already prepared a plane, we'll be taking off in a few minutes. And, thanks to a few strings being pulled, we'll be able to fly over a few of the no-fly zones, making the trip much shorter. It is urgent, after all." she said. "And where is the destination, might I ask?" the Doctor said. "Oh, I forgot to mention that, didn't I? My apologies. The destination is Tokoyo, Japan." the woman said calmly. "Japan? But I don't speak Japanese." Alison said. "Don't worry, TARDIS translation matrix, remember?" the Doctor said.

@Vuclan-is-tired

"Solace. Will Solace." Will says kindly. Nico and Will listen to the conversation. "I speak it." Nico raises his hand slowly. "I've known the language since I was a kid. A friend of mine was Japanese." He explains.

"Yeah, you won't need to. TARDIS translation matrix, it's effects tend to stick around after a few trips. So," the Doctor said, clapping his hands together, "No time to waste! There's a murder to be solved, possibly an alien murder!" he seemed far to happy about this for it to be healthy, Alison thought.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Will and Nico roll their eyes then chuckle into their hands. Nico turns to Will and shrugs. "We'll just have to deal with it." he says. Will nods and smiles a little. "Oh well. First murder mystery in a while, huh?" Nico nods. "No kidding."

"This way." the woman said, leading them to a large jet, painted black with the symbol of UNIT on the side. "Once we have boarded, you'll be handed over to Major Hiraki. Best of luck to you all. Also, Miss Lethbridge-Stewart will be joining you, just as an assistant." she said. They boarded the plane, and a young woman with dark hair greeted them. "Ah, Major, glad to meet you. How soon are we arriving?" the Doctor asked. "8 hours. Sit down, I'll get you all some water. Don't worry, your TARDIS has been moved to the back, it'll be unloaded once we land." she said. "The Master won't be very happy about that. Hmm, go on, do whatever it is you military people do." the Doctor waved her away. "What did you say?" Hiraki asked. "Off you pop. Leave. What more do you want?" the Doctor asked. "Er, no, before that I mean." she stammered. "Oh, that? Nothing." the Doctor said. "Er, I just thought you mentioned the M- oh, nevermind. I was probably hearing things. I thought you said the Master, sorry. You know, the bane of UNIT's existence for years. Honestly, the Sea Devils were one of the hardest things he threw at us. I think he came to Earth just to bother you, but I'd almost say he fancied you if, you know, he wasn't a murderous sociopath. Actually, I-" she stopped once the Doctor gave her a look that said 'Stop talking now or may giant rats eat you by day and night. Giant, hungry rats.' "I'll just go get you water." she shuffled off. "Well that's a mercy. Good riddance, honestly." the Doctor chuckled.

(Lol)
"So, mysterious murder." the Doctor said as he flipped through files. "Fallen out of window. It was designated as suicide to the public, to stop them worrying. He had some strange markings on him though, and it looked as if someone had snapped his neck, so we decided to investigate." Kate offered. "Hmm, these look familiar. I wonder… it's probably nothing, just similar to it, like the Nestene Consciousness. It couldn't… you can't take something out of a time loop, I'm sure of it." the Doctor muttered, unaware that his thoughts were becoming sentences.

Will rests against Nico, and the ravenette starts. "Will, you okay?" Will shakes his head. "The message my dad sent is still echoing in my head. It's making me a little nervous."

"Doctor, are you alright?" Alison asked. "Oh, never better, never better. Just thinking about things. Ah, Alison, do you think you might want to go home, see Joe again? You know, just… ah, you understand me." he said. "No, I don't think I do. Look, you never ask me to leave, I always ask you about things like this. What's the matter?" Alison asked, sitting down next to the Doctor. "Well, it's just… I'm worried about you." he sighed. "I've lost too many people, and I don't want to go losing you. You just remind me of someone too much, and…. I don't want to lose you." he said. "Oh, come off it, since when did you have emotions?" Alison said, whacking his arm. "Honestly, we're going to be fine. There's really nothing to worry about." she said. "But what if we keep going on like this? What happens then? What happens if I'm standing over your grave, your broken body, over Joe's body? Death is unavoidable, Alison. But I don't want to cause it for you." he said. "How d'you mean Joe? He's never travelled with us before, you know." Alison said. "Alison, I'm just speculating. He might. I mean, you're getting married, and if you still haven't told him about us yet, there's going to be a few issues." the Doctor answered. "Why? Time machine, I can be home in time for tea. He'd never know I was gone. Besides, home was never stinking old Lannet, home is the TARDIS. She's just…. where I know I belong. And thank God I found her, and you, and even your android of sass as well." she grinned. "Anyways, I'm going to rest until we arrive, so don't bother me. Seriously, don't." Alison said, moving to a row of seats in the back of the plane.
A few hours later, they reached the destination, and everyone left the plane. Alison was glad to touch stable ground again, and they were taken to a meeting room. Kate explained exactly what the Shining Dawn corporation was, and the suspicions that has been aroused by it to the Doctor, and they went interviewing people, going from building to building. "So, apparently the company makes some sort of tonic that helps with brain development, and also produces some sort of show. Goruda. All the tests have come back as plain water, but since it has been visibly improving the child's mind, we thought it might be good to have you look into it." she said, ask they walked down the hallway of an apartment building.

Will and Nico talk quietly, before they fell asleep in each others arms during the flight. He held onto Will with all his might since Will had been weak and tired since the prophecy. He didn't like the look of how sick and pale Will was becoming again because of his nightmares.

The Doctor nodded to Kate. Will and Nico had been left on the plane, while Alison had stayed at the UNIT HQ in case they woke up. They came to another apartment. "I don't see why we're interrogating the locals. What's the point?" Kate asked. "Mm, I'll explain later. For now, I'll be needing to test something. We'll visit one more flat here, and move on to another, say, about a mile or two away, any direction." the Doctor said. "Why?" Kate asked. "As I said, I'll explain later." the Doctor replied. They came to another apartment, Kate taking the initiative to greet whoever answered the door. "Hello, we're here from the British Broadcasting Channel to make a documentary about Japanese family life. Mind if we come in and ask a few questions?" she asked. "Yes, why not? Come in, come in." a woman said. "Sit down, I'll get you two something to drink." she walked off to the kitchen. In the living room was a small boy sitting in front of the television, watching a cartoon, a bottle of the tonic beside him. "Hmm. Intriguing." the Doctor studies the cartoon. A golden figure with curly hair said, "Drink the brain tonic, one, two, three, and lets learn together!" earning a look of amusement from the Doctor. "Ah, Mrs…" "Kurosawa, Ayami Kurosawa. This is my son, Kaito." she said. "Ayami, if I may call you that, could you maybe tell us about this new product? Goruda? I'm sure you might have heard of it, it's quite the sensation around these parts." Kate chuckled. "Oh, his exam results have been through the roof ever since he started drinking it, it's marvellous." Ayami said. "Hmm. Interesting." the Doctor said. He walked over to Kaito, looking down at the child, whose eyes were glued to the screen. "Tell me, Kaito, what was the name of Mozart's pet cat?" the Doctor asked. "I don't know." the boy replied absentmindedly. After asking Ayami a few more questions so they didn't seem suspicious, they finally left. After visiting a few more flats a little way away from that building, the Doctor and Kate returned to HQ. "What did you ask him about the car for?" Kate asked. "I told him the name of the cat was Fluffy, and he believed me. Then I asked all the other children the same thing, and they answered Fluffy. But that was the wrong answer. Anyway, Mozart hated cats." the Doctor said.

(Not good. How about you? Is your leg alright?)

Will slowly woke up, grunting a little in pain. Nico opened an eye. "You okay, Will?" Will shook his head, his eyes wide with panic as he looks around. "Where did everyone go?" He asks quietly, continuing to look around.

(Better, yeah.)
"Morning sleepyheads. Well, more like late afternoon, but whatever. The Doctor and that Kate woman just got back, they're testing something, I dunno. Yeah, anyways, I snuck off to the TARDIS to chat with the robot, he's been no help, couldn't even find him, so I just decided to come back and sit here with you two until you got up. I'm on my ninth Sudoku book, you guys are heavy sleepers." Alison giggled.

(Ah, okay.)
"Alison, would you- oh, Will, Nico, glad to see you're up. Now, as it so happens, I have a question or two to ask all of you. If I asked a group a question, they didn't know the answer, I told one of them with nobody around to hear me, no way of communication, and suddenly the rest of the group knew the answer, what do you think would have caused such a thing?" the Doctor asked, walking into the room.
