"The source seems to be coming from here." he said, scanning the room with a long, thin object somewhat like a pen, screwdriver, and had a light on the end. It made a buzzing, whirring noise as it scanned. "Now then, I think the source is coming from here." he muttered. "Sonic screwdriver, it's good, innit?"
"Yeah I guess." Will answers, shaking his head as he looks around.
The Doctor entered a large cavern, water pouring down in a stream all around the wall. Inside was a large machine like some sort of huge space-organ. The Doctor turned around to face Will, but it wasn't the Doctor's face anymore. I mean sure, he still has the hair, but now he looked like some sort of big blue humanoid grasshopper. A long insectoid limb stuck out of his right shoulder, piercing through the coat. They Doctor didn't seem to notice this or care. "Will, if I may ask, are you alright? I mean, with your friend Nico and everything. You seem rather disturbed." he said.
Will looks down. "I-I'll be fine…" he mutters, holding his arm.
"Oh, alright. Hmm… looks like a gene-splicer left by another race. That man that found his way into the camp must have reactivated it! And this is why you always follow rule 76: never press random buttons on alien technology without reading the manual first. On that note, who ever does read the manual anyways?" he asked.
Will hisses softly under his breath and sighs, shaking his head.
The Doctor caught his reflection in the stream and winced. "I seem to have picked up a bit of the local color. Ooh, not a good look. Really does bring out my eye though, literally. My eyes are literally taking up most of the space on my face." he chuckled.
Will feels himself start to crack. "people are dying… Nico is dying… Alison is dying and you're cracking jokes?!"
"Yes, it's an excellent way to relive stress. You should try it, you look like the type of person who gets stressed easily. And correction: Not dying, mutating."
"I DON'T CARE!" Will shouts, tears streaming down his face. "DON'T YOU SEE HOW MUCH PAIN THEY'RE IN?!" He shrieks.
"That's what I'm attempting to fix, as you can clearly see. I don't want to be stuck as an insect for the rest of this regeneration. Now I understand how the Master felt when he was infected with the Cheetah virus, ha. Now then you beauty, let's see what's making you tick, shall we?" he said to the machine, examining it closely.
Will felt his hand go towards the gun but he tries to calm down.
"Hmm. I see. Well, there's human in here, but a bit of Time Lord too. I'm resetting their biology, it's a little process I like to call…" he said, playing the keys of the machine, "Regeneration!" he finished. A blue light surrounded him, and sparks flew. The Doctor played the final notes, and he started to revert back to normal. "Now, I'm not sure how exactly it might affect Nico and Alison and the others…. there might be some residual time energy from the reset that will linger for a few days. Perfectly harmless…. last time I checked….." he said.
He sighs and shakes his head. This man is… utterly insane… He thinks silently
Sorry. I thought I replied.//
The Doctor finally reverted back to normal, but the machine was starting to fizzle and spark. "Oh, I might have forgotten to mention the explosion part. I might have accidentally overloaded the systems. And it's going to blow up. We should run."
Will backs up and begins to run, his eyes going wide as he nods, running for dear life.
The Doctor ran, and the two just got to safety as the cavern exploded. "Well then… that was rather exciting." the Doctor said, out of breath.
Will looks back. "do you think the nymph disease will stop now?" He asks softly.
"It wasn't nymph disease at all, just some fool reactivating a malfunctioning gene splicer." the Doctor said. "Learn the difference."
"I get the point, doctor. But my question is, do you think the chaos will stop?"
(oooh so you can respond to this rp but not ours I see how it is
jk I love you)
"Yes, I do believe it will." he said.
Will nods. "Alright… good." He mutters.
