“Haul some a$$ and let’s go please.” Solace said flipping her hair and climbing into the car (?).
“Haul some a$$ and let’s go please.” Solace said flipping her hair and climbing into the car (?).
Jade groaned but complied with the instruction. When I get the chance, I swear I'm going to kill her. she thought.
“I heard that!” Solace said with a fake smile.
"I know you did. I'm preparing you for the very close future." Jade rolled her eyes. She sank into the chair, and leaned back. "But you can get the death penalty for invading another person's mind, you know." she said. Jade closed her eyes, although she would never admit it she was incredibly tired.
“Not in these cervumstances love” She said relaxing back into her seat as the driver drove them off towards the start ion.
Station**
"Don't use those idiotic pet names." Jade grumbled. She allowed herself to fall into a deep sleep.
Blood flowed down Jade's arm. She was standing in the middle of a battlefield, covered in dirt and grime and sweat and blood. The distant sound of a child screaming echoed in her ears. Now she was in a dark cell, gently rocking a baby back and forth. The echoes of screaming ricocheted of the walls. Jade sobbed, the pain was too much. Then, she found herself falling, falling into darkness. She wasn't holding the child anymore. Jade screamed.
A bright light was being shined into her face. The events of the last few months were coming back to her. She had lost. Solace was taking her to some moon. Damn.
“You okay there sweet heart” she asked, extra emphasis on the sweetheart. You look a little pale. She climbed out of the car and grabbed her bags and walked towards the station where they’d be sent to a moon as Jade’s punishment.
Jade muttered a few curses and followed Solace into the station.
Solace gave her bags to the ship attendent so they could put her things on the ship and then waited for Jade so they could walk together as much. As she didn’t want to she knew she had to, as per the councils orders.
Jade walked next to Solace grudgingly. She was still quite shaken from that dream, especially since….. but they were dead now. She didn't have to focus on that anymore. "Alright, princess. Let's just go to your bloody moon and get this over with." Jade grumbled.
“Relax a little. We’re goung to be there for a while so you’d better get used to me” Solace said walking towards the boarding entrance.
"We're going to be there for the rest of my life, idiot. Or the rest of your life, whoever does first." Jade muttered.
“My point exactly.” She responded, opening the door to enter the ship, letting Jade go first.
"I hate you, you know." she said, stepping into the ship.
“And why’s that?” She said walking on and pulling the door closed behind her.
"You know why."
“No I really don’t Jade. If I knew I wouldn’t have asked. You of all people should know that” Solace said pointedly, taking a seat and motioning for Jade to do the same.
"Oh, maybe because I would have preferred if you had decided to kill me rather than this?" Jade huffed. She sat down next to Solace, her eyes were full of hatred.
“Well I have to make you suffer. My punishment my rules. I’m putting my life at stake because of you. Because we used to be so close. Because I still care” Solace said, the last part through her teeth. “One day you’ll get over it. One day…” she trailed off unsure of how to finish her sentence.
"You idiot. You don't know anything about what I went through. One day, you'll find out that there's much worse than anything you could think of."
“Whatever you say Jade. I would have known if you wouldn’t have pushed me away when we were younger.” Solace said exasperated.
"You'll never understand. Have you ever had a person die in your arms? Did they die screaming? Could you have saved someone's life but didn't? What regrets do you have, might I a great ask?" Jade taunted.
“I…” She shuddered. “I don’t want to talk about it.” Solace said firmly and turned away from Jade.
"At least you never had to lose the one person in the world who mattered most." she said. The screaming resurfaced in the back of her mind.
