@PuffPoff
Nathan nodded at the disembodied voice. Every time this happened, he would watch outside for the AI, tracking any new movement or…anything new the AI did. Recently, he hadn't seen them so it was hard to continue his experiment.

Yeon eventually made it to the complex and he ran along to the side of the building. He went to a fire escape ladder, and with a tug, it’s creaked loudly and unfolded, crashing before him with an annoying loud sound. He pulled dhimself onto it, climbing up a few floors to where his apartment window was at.
Renata walked for a while. She almost didn't make it back before curfew, but a minute or two before was jogging up the stairs to where her home was.
Nathan walked over to his bed and unlocked the compartment in the floor with the key he carried around his neck. He smiled when it opened, taking out the large wooden box inside it. Hello, old friend. He thought as he opened the box.
Yeon pushed the window open and slid inside. He picked up a match, lighting a candle that was on the kitchen table. He walked around the rest of the house, lighting candles. The apartment complex had no working lights, but at least it had running water.
He took the small robot out of the box and turned on the controller. You haven't been out in a while. Let's see if you work… He moved the joystick forward, causing the robot to move forward. Nathan made it go in a full circle. Good. He brought the robot back to him and he smiled, patting it's head. Once I get a chip for you, you'll be able to move by yourself. Won't that be fun?
( Sorry about that )
Will groaned. "They've been gone for so long…" she muttered.
(Don't be sorry :)
"We should head back to the apartments." Ariana said as the automated voice came on.
Will sighed and nodded.
Nathan patted the robot's head one more time before putting it and the controller back in the wooden box. He locked it in the compartment and put the key around his neck again, hiding it under his shirt.
"Where's your apartment?" Ariana asked.
He plopped down on his bed, sitting criss-cross. Nathan's apartment was pretty small. He could afford a larger one, but he preferred the cosy one he currently had. When you walked through the door, the bathroom was to your right and the kitchen was to your left. Further down on the left was a living room with windows that overlooked one of the busier places in the area. Across from the living room on the right was his bedroom, which was more like a workshop with a bed pushed to the corner.
"Down this way." Will said, turning around.
"Okay, good. We're close." Ariana turned and followed her.
Sometimes, he would just sit on his bed for hours. Nathan didn't have a job, he didn't go to school, he didn't have any family that he knew of, and he was too socially awkward to make friends. There really wasn't much for him to do in his apartment. He could always go outside, but he didn't ever want to. When did I go out last? Oh, right. Last week when I had to get food.
Ariana parted ways with Will and headed for her room.
Will stopped at her apartment door, and decided she wasn't ready to go in yet. Instead she started outside of the building, headed for the market.
The figure pulled off the panel covering the software. The AI would be amazed at how many weak spots it had. Smiling, they took out a flash drive and inserted it. "Let's hope someone is willing to listen to what's true."
As Ariana sat down, her vision blacked out.
Nathan looked outside his window. Nothing…there's nothing…
Words flashed across Ariana'a sight. If you are reading this, things have gone south.
Nathan sat with his elbows leaning against the window sill. He wasn't expecting to see anything outside during the next hour, but it was worth a shot.
(Anyone else can experience the message if they want. It doesn't have to be just me.)
More words appeared. We're not sure who can be trusted anymore. Definitely not the government. If you want to know more, meet at the old bar down on Etten's corner tonight. 1:30 a.m. Oh, and the authorities won't believe you if you tell them. Believe me, people have tried to tell them.
See you there.
(is it okay if Nathan's appears in some other way? like through paper?)
(Well, It was a message that appeared via the cybernetics implanted in everyone. If you can make it work go for it I guess.)
