Zoe watched what was happening nearby, that didn't seem right, he shouldn't of been treating her like that. She frowned, this was probably one of the reasons she didn't want a boyfriend…….right?
He looked over at her a bit confused. "Um, nothing." He went back to drawing a jungle waterfall. "I can see you are uncomfortable around guys, so I won't stop you from leaving, but um…" He tapped his pencil on his chin. "May I ask one question?"
"Uh… s-sure," Ava said quietly.
Cyril walked into the cafe, not intending to do much except possibly stare at a blank screen for hours and call it writing.
Atticus watched the scene carefully, writing down more notes as he observed the mortals. He underlined the word interesting above a list of reactions he's watched from people in the cafe. "Is this normal?" He asked himself as he typed a question into a Google search box on his laptop.
"I have this project and I'm supposed to draw something I find beautiful, but I just can't think of anything. So, what do you find beautiful." Maybe he can take some ideas from other people to inspire him. Resting his elbow against the table he laid his head in his hands and looked at this girl he has never met before.
Jane walked into the cafe. This was her first day off all month. She took her notebook and pencil out of her bag and got into line.

"I… I don't know," Ava stammered shyly. She looked at her lap and said quietly, "I like sunsets."
Avery takes his headphones and phone out, he slips his large headphones over his ears and plays ocean sounds. i miss home he sighs as he thinks of the beautiful shadows and corrals of his underwater home
Jane got to the front of the line and wrote “one black coffee please” on the paper and showed it to the barista. She gave her a weird look but it dropped once Jane gave her a tip. Jane sat down with her coffee at a booth in the back of the cafe.
"I see sunsets." He wrote that down in a notebook he had brought to write ideas down. His hand writing was horrible, which usually surprises people because he is so good at drawing that they expect good handwriting from him. "Thank you." A soft smile crossed his lips. He flipped to a new page and began to draw clouds. "I won't force you to stay, but that guy is waiting outside for you." He nodded to the window. How disgraceful, disrespectful and disgusting can one guy be?
Cafe's are good for getting coffee, not hanging around.
Zoe cringed as the TV played news about a shooting.
Okalyo High School massacre, hundreds dead, few injured.
Slowly her surroundings were starting to distort around her. Is this normal, what's happening? She started to panic before she found herself inside a dark space, it was narrow and the only light were the small slots in front of her, she could hear screaming, cries for help. Gun shots filled the air, and she was left there, crammed in, alone…
Immediately, her surroundings changed and she was back at the cafe, still looking out the window. You could visibly see how distressed she was, but no one seemed to take notice.
Cyril ordered a coffee. The scent, while already tempting enough to humans, was intoxicating and overpowering to Cyril give his extraordinary sense of smell. He went to a table in the back of the cafe, his usual spot, and found there was already a young woman (Jane) around his age sitting there. "Erm… I don't want to bother you, miss, but may I sit here? I mean, I'll go if you want but…" he mumbled, barely able to get the words out as it was. Cyril was never the best at talking to females, given the culture he was raised in. He checked the hologram, disguised as a watch, that disguised his alien reality, finding it was still functioning just fine and was at full battery. Good, he didn't want to freak out everyone in the cafe.
Atticus turned his attention to a newcomer to the cafe, noting the notebook in her hands and her patience of being in a line. He wrote a few things down before moving his sight further across the cafe. He spotted a man focusing on writing something, as he was serious about his project. Atticus types another question into the google search bar.
Jane looked up at the man. She quickly wrote something down on her notebook. “You can sit here if you want. I don’t see any other spots.” She showed the man the paper.
"Th-thank you, miss." he said, sitting down and attempting to act inconspicuous.
Avery yawned and felt someones eyes on him, he turns around and gives the man who looked at him a questioning stare as Avery takes off his headphones
why is someone looking at me? are my gills showing?
Atticus locked eyes with this guy, and let his curiosity get the better of him. He picked up his things and walked over to the interesting man and settled himself on the other side of the booth. "Hello, my name is Atticus. You are very interesting. Not like the rest of the people here." He said as he put his stuff in the empty space left on the table.
Janes leg started to bounce slightly as she started to write. She liked to write stories in her free time. She always wanted to be a writer but there was no way that’ll ever happen.
(anyone, anyone interested with interacting with my character or naw?)
"Hello, the name is Avery. and thank you for saying that i am interesting?" he says though it sounds more like a question, he said his name is Atticus, but why does he beilive im interesting he thinks

(Thank you Sol.)
Jared looked up from his homework, noticing a girl across the cafe looking distressed. Maybe you should go talk to her. It might help keep your mind off things. He stood up and walked her booth, smiling at her. "Hey, can I sit here?" He asked.
