(Sure y’all can still be from the same place though)
“I’m from Miami.” Liam replied looking at his book
"I'm from Wisconsin…" Alex noticed the book Liam was holding "heh, you famous or somethin'?"
“Apparently so.” He shrugged showing him the book “Riley found one with her name
"Heh, wonder if that means they have one on me…" Alex began to walk to the A section "I'll be right back…"
He nodded
He came back shortly after with his book "Welp, I am now freaked out…"
(Sorry I'm back.)
"I'm from Washington. Does anyone know what's going on?" Instead of her grandmother's book, she is now carrying her own. "AMD why books have our names on them?"
"No idea what's going on, as for why the books have our names on them, maybe they are about us?" he said opening his book and turning to a random page "and who ever wrote these books knows how i think…"
Riley sat down and opened her book on a random page as well. This is when I fell off the swing when I was five. "So, someone wrote books about everyone." She looked around her. "On earth?"
"now here's a question… who OWNS this place?" he looked around at the decor and now there was almost no dust anywhere "because this is some serious up keep…"
"There has to be more then one person of it's this clean." Riley closed her book and stood back up, tucking a piece of her brown and tucking it behind her ear. "Should we look for someone?"
"I don't know, if something has the power to bring us here with no way of getting in, god knows if it could be Cthulhu himself."
"I'm sorry." Riley's fingers ran over the books and she read the name on each one. "The what?" She had no idea what Alex was talking about, but she was determined to memorize this place. Though that might just be impossible.
"Nevermind, fictional god…" he looked around noticing that some of the book cases grew "guess that's people being born…"
Riley once again opened her book and went to the back. "I have twenty black pages. It stopped when I woke up here."
Alex did the same "it looks like everything just stopped when we woke up…" Alex pulled a book off of another shelf and went to the back and the all pages were filled with a cause of death in the back "this guy died from a car crash…" he put it back and looked at his book again but nothing changed "if it does write down everything we do, why does it stop here?"
"There are a few theories I have but they are ridiculous." Riley laughed a waved her hand around. What she was thinking would be impossible, yet again, these books are something she would've never thought existed.
"Riley, we woke up an a grand library with no way in or out with books that have our history down to the letter. You got a theory it could be right." he shrugged
"I have two." She lifted two fingers. "One, we are stuck in a different dimension. Two We are possibly dead, as crazy as it sounds, one makes the most sense." Riley laughed. She sounded crazy, she never knew she would actually be suggesting that they were in a different dimension. She continued walking around hoping the others would follow. "I need to know if the people," she pused. "Or whatever they are, need food, water and sleep to survive. If they do there has to be a kitchen or resting quarters around, and not just books."
Alex followed but kept his distance, he still didn't trust people "I'd like to go with the different dimension one, the being dead one though, the other book i looked at had no empty pages and a cause of death."
“But each book I’ve seen has a cause of death, mine doesn’t, does yours?” He asked the group
"No, that's why I'm saying we might not be on earth anymore, maybe in another dimension and frozen it time?" No, that's going to far. She ruffled her hair. "I don't know it was just an idea."
“Well my bill has about 20 pages left unwritten. Maybe that means I can write what I want!” He exclaimed
"Wait!" She ran back and it the book out of his hands. "I-I'm sorry." Picking back up she handed back to him. "It's just," She looked away, towards the darkness. "It might come with some consequences." Why did she do that, she felt it was rude. But, she hated the dark and the more people around her the safer she felt, and if something happened to one of them she would feel it was somewhat her fault for not stopping them. "I mean, we should figure out more things before we do something like that."
