forum New genre-specific roleplaying boards are available

As you've (probably) already noticed, there are now several genre-specific roleplaying boards. These were created to ensure both that every RP has the chance to find RPers, and also to help RPers find roleplays they're interested in. There's also a board dedicated to beginners getting started (for any genre), so please be nice! :)

Obviously with all the creativity that flies around here daily, there's always going to be a ton of overlap in genres. I didn't create these boards to be a stickler for rules; if you want to continue using this general roleplaying board, feel free to! If you want to discover unscouted lands over in one of the new genre-specific boards, go for it. I think they'll be helpful to keep smaller RPs from getting buried under more popular ones here, and might make it easier for someone looking for an RP to join to find the right one for them.

And, of course, this is still an experimental change, so any feedback is appreciated. I'd like to use this thread for discussing the new boards, and the existing suggestion thread for more functional suggestions (like tools in the forums to help you RP better).

Also of note: you may also notice that shiny new "Unread" button in the top-right of the forums (well, if you have any unread notifications). That'll take you directly to a list of threads you're subscribed to that have unread messages, without you needing to switch between forums. Now, all your RPs (no matter the board) are in one place; no more diving to find them. :)

I like it. It's easier then pouring through the rps, especially when you haven't been on in a while.

Thanks so much. The categories are great, specific enough so that you can actually find RPs, and general enough so its not annoying. The unread button is also AMAZING!

Same, the unread button is great, but there should also be a category for roleplays that you're already in so you can find those easily

This is just suggestion that you can totally ignore, but how about a Horror Role-play section?
