Murdock snorted, giggling a little. "Sleep-deprived nutcase?" he laughed. "Trust me, you haven't seen one of those until you've seen me after hardwiring myself."
Murdock snorted, giggling a little. "Sleep-deprived nutcase?" he laughed. "Trust me, you haven't seen one of those until you've seen me after hardwiring myself."
"I would take nut case over ghost any day."she looked down at her hands," Well I didn't always look like this. When my quirk manifested it drained all my color. I used to look normal."
Inima gave Andrei a look as she fixed her hair. She glanced at the clock and sighed, "When does school get out again?"
"Hopefully never." Tsuki muttered. This place was safe, unlike the city streets, full of drunk men and angry people who were always looking to pick a fight. Especially with a girl who lived on the streets.
Murdock shrugged. "3:15, I think."
"Why is it so short?" Inima sighed.
"I'm not sure? I always thought the school day was sort of long," he said, resting his head on a hand again
"It's too short," Inima said. If it was longer she wouldn't have to go back to the government building so soon.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to go home. A nap, some Hitchcock, and a phone call home sounds great to me right now." Andrei yawned, stretching his arms across the desk.
I agree. It's too short. What wonders awaited her today? A couple of drug-addicts or a bunch of teenage girls who think its funny to kick homeless people? Tsuki would just have to find out. Maybe she would just hang out at the public library. If she didn't smell too bad and didn't cause problems for other people, she could hang out in there and read. Or maybe she could retreat to her old home, reduced to rubble. Tsuki could practice there.
"To be honest I do need to get home and feed Kyle before I go on my evening run." Yuuka said, "I hope he didn't break anything."
Inima put her face down. A month or two ago, she would be out on the streets stealing and killing. This was such a different environment than she was used to. Everyone was so.. .nice.
"Hey, does anyone live near [Popular Location someone help]? Because I live over there and If anyone walks home we wouldn't have to walk alone." Yuuka offers.
"Maybe one day I'll invite you over to my place," Andrei mused, swinging his legs idly. "I have movies and poor lighting. It'll be great."
"I, don't walk to school," Inima responded.
"I live all around really." Tsuki shrugged, hoping they would assume she just hopped around from house to house.
"All around?" Yuuka questions.
"Are you between moves or something?" Andrei asked. He'd had a friend back home who lived all around - that kid hadn't been between moves, ever, but he figured he'd give Tsuki the benefit of the doubt.
"Yeah, sort of." Tsuki brushed away her bangs with her hand. Gah, people were hard to talk to. Socialization was hard.
what is she hiding? That was the same voice, I used when I said my parents and I were just playing. Yuuka smiled, "All around that is a real strange choice of words."
"I am a strange person." Tsuki studied her bandages, seemingly incredibly interested in them.
"Does all around, mean near the [previously mentioned location]?" Yuuka started to pry a little.
"Oh, no, I just realized, I don't really care," Andrei tossed in hastily, noting the way Tsuki became uncomfortable. Crap, I shouldn't have pried. That was rude. "Sorry for pushing. It doesn't matter to me."
Tsuki smiled, "It's okay. And I mean, yeah I sort of live around (mentioned location)"
Inima spoke up softly, "I live near there too, but I would have to talk to my guardians first."
