Notte bit his lip, he didn't want to say he had come to the city to pry on the human's darkness… "School mostly, Umbria had come earlier in the year but I was held up at home with some family stuff."

Anteros nodded, understanding what it was like to help with family stuff. His siblings were always causing new problems, so he tried to keep those from breaking out as much as possible. He had originally come with his brother, Eros, though when they left, Anteros had decided to stay since he enjoyed the city and parts of mortal life.

"Yeah, what about you?" Notte asked trying to keep the spotlight off of him now that his sister wasn't talking as much.

"Oh, uh," Anteros started, rubbing the back of his neck as he tried to think of something to stay. He couldn't just flat out tell them that he was a god. "I came here to study different philosophies at the small college in the neighboring city, though once I finished I came here for a bit," he explained, deciding that philosophy would make sense since he was a more soft-spoken and artistic person.

Umbria spoke up after studying the man for a bit. "You're a god aren't you?" She accused the man before turning to Notte. "I thought you said there wasn't any god's in this city?"

Deleted user

"A god?" Anteros questioned, wrinkling his nose as if he didn't understand what Umbria was saying. It was better to act clueless then actually tell them that he was a god. The last thing his parents and the rest of the greek gods needed was a pair of mortals knowing who he was…even if they were mortals. "What do you mean?"

"Oh please, I can sense the godly aura coming off you. I thought it was just this cafe but no, it was you." Umbria said with a harsh tone to her voice, her upbeat personality gone. "Oh, oh… I'm sorry, we have to go." Notte said, standing up.

"Go?" Anteros answered, his brow furrowed as he looked up towards Umbria and Notte, sensing how distant they seem dot get. "You two are gods too then," he added, less of a question and more of a statement.

Deleted user

"No dip, how do you think we sensed your aura," Umbria said in a hostile tone. Notte just looked defeated, he thought he could get away from all the gods and Umbria, being the good sister she was, came with him to make sure he stayed safe. "Let's just go Um." He says, pulling on Umbria's sleeve to get her to stand up.

"I'm not a threat, why are you going?" Anteros asked, getting up in his seat, though he was careful to keep his voice fairly low so no one else could hear their conversation. It was true. He was the god of requited and unrequited love, which meant that he didn't have many 'abilities' and wouldn't do anything out of hatred. It just wasn't what he was like.

Umbria did not say anything but, "Goodbye." As she stood up, grabbed her and her brother's coffees and walked out the door, dragging Notte along with her.

Anteros watched the two walk out, deciding that it would be pointless if he followed along. Instead, he sat down at the small, wooden table, running a hand through his hair in thought. His first friends, and he already screwed it up. Not that he wasn't used to it; after a while, Anteros had gotten used to people leaving. Muttering to himself, he leaned back in his chair, deciding that he should at least finish his drink.

Oh stars, I feel so sorry for Anteros! But this was needed for Notte's backstory to e revealed a bit//

(It's totally okay! Anything that will help with backstory is fine ;)

When they got outside, Umbria turned to her brother. "Notte, let me begin with I am so, so sorry. If I knew that there were gods in the city I would have not recommended this place for you, are you okay? Is your curse acting up?" She asked as Notte nodded a bit. "Yes to both." He muttered, wincing in pain as he held his arm. From under his sleeve, you could see dark marking running down his arm. "Let's just get home." He muttered.

After a few minutes of sitting, Anteros sighed and mumbled a small greek phrase under his breath. Within a minute or two, a teenage girl with thin, white hair and pale skin walked through the cafe's door, a stormy expression on her face. All of her looked translucent and pale, as if she weren't really there. Eventually, the girl's gaze fell on Anteros and she walked towards him, a heavy frown on her features. "What do you need this time?" The white haired girl questioned as she sat down in the seat in front of Anteros.

"Nice to see you too, Ash," Anteros answered with a shake of his head as he looked towards the girl in front of him. Ash had been a spirit he had found, and ever since, she had been his messenger. "I was wondering if you could…run a message up to Phobos," he added softly.
