Malcolm narrowed his eyes at Hiro.
“Why the fuck did you break in? You couldn’t have knocked, given some fucking courtesy to a locked door? I knew I should have built a new one, dammit,”Malcolm hissed.
He still aimed the pistol, but he didn’t shoot.
“ I broke in because it's only fair. You were tracking us. And next time, don't make it copper. It's the most earthest metal. “ he said like a smart-ass.
“Thank you for the advice. Luckily, they were the only copper ones in my troupe. And, by the way, you dumbshit, I was not tracking, I was spying. Hearing your fucking noise so near to my house made me curious. Can’t an old man be fucking nosy?”Malcolm huffed.
“ no old men should be kept inside or ‘dumfucks’ like us come in.” hiros voice got weak before he felt like crashing. Before he knew if the concrete flooring rushed to meet his face.
(So, did he collapse? I’m a bit confused. If he did, what happens to the robots?)
( yes he did, after so long of putting through a migraine the pain will make him collapse. And the water probably jus slid off of them kinda like they where water proof)
(Okay, thank you. And, I completely forgot to ask earlier, are you okay with including the AIs eventually, or is it strictly Malcolm and his machines?)
Malcolm huffed and ordered the robots away. He picked up his spider robot, and his three legs, gently setting it on a work table nearby.
“I will repair you.”
He sighed at the wreckage of his shop, his eyes noticing the damaged vials of nanobots. It especially pained him to see so many vials ruined.
“Fucking assholes,”he muttered.
He grabbed an unbroken vial and poured some of the nanobots out near Hiro. They unraveled, latching onto the boy, and dragging him out onto the sidewalk.
“Does nobody learn?”Malcolm sighed.
He glanced toward William, wondering if he needed to pour out more nanobots.
Hiro woke from the cold sidewalk (I think is should be about wintertime.) he sat up and rubbed his head. Taking a minute to realize where he was he rushed back inside to go get william
William was getting sick, fast. His eyes drooped. He sat down but didn't sleep.
“ the hell did you do to him” hiro said weakly
Malcolm snorted, cleaning up his shop.
“I don’t have powers like you assholes, so fuck off. And get out!”
He pulled out a small box full of tools, and grabbed a hammer and a miniaturized broom. He used the hammer to remove any metallic shards attached to the walls or counter, and swept all the debris into a pile near the back of the shop.
The spider vibrated repeatedly, trying to move from the table. Malcolm sighed and moved over, gently tapping the machine to soothe it.
William stood up and weakly walked out. Once he left the building, he sat down and leaned against the wall. "That was… weird…"
Hiro sighed and walked over to the machine, mending the metal legs back together. “ better?” he asked the small robot.
Malcolm glared at Hiro as he mended the spider robot. He stopped sweeping to watch.
The spider robot stood, testing its legs and seeming to run a diagnostic. It settled back down, not answering.
Hiro smiled slightly and nudged it “ go on, try it out.”
The spider didn’t move. Malcolm snickered.
“He will not follow your commands. None of them will. Now, get the fuck out. I hate the company of organic folk.”
Malcolm returned to the shelf of vials, moving the vials onto the counter and organizing them between unbroken, damaged, and destroyed. He sighed sorrowfully as he noticed less than half of the vials were not damaged.
Hiro sighed “ had you not attacked, we wouldn't be here.”
“You came into my home, without my permission! And you attacked first! I threw a chunk of metal at the counter to distract you, you fucking idiot, and he was simply guarding me,”Malcolm snapped, indicating the spider as he spoke.
“ we weren't here to harm you! Just to return the dumbass ants!” he said raising his voice ( yeah the doc and hiro could be friends
Now: at each others throats)
(snickering)
“They would have returned at my command. They’re my machines, my spies! And you decided to attack them as well! They’re harmless!”Malcolm hissed.
“ harmless!? Look at William! That's not fucking harmless!”
“The spies, dumbass, are harmless,”he deadpanned.
He pointed at the spider.
“My friend, there, is a guard. He’s meant to be harmful.”
The spider flashed blue, as if in agreement.
Hiro let out a growl and used his powers to splash the old man in the face with water, going back outside to William
Malcolm winced as his left eye shorted out. He sighed and moved to one of the counters, pulling out a drawer filled with spare eyes.
He unscrewed the old one, replacing it, and looked around a moment as he adjusted to the new one.
“Like water is going to do much to me. And that’s a woman’s move. I’ve never seen a man splash someone with a drink, or magic water,”he snorted.
The spider stood and crawled to Malcolm, settling in front of him and flashing, requesting repairs. Malcolm grabbed the spider, returning it to the table, and pulled out his toolkit again. He tinkered at the other broken pieces, noting that the three repaired legs were now solidly connected to the body. He shrugged.
