"I felt the same way when I came here," Darius chimed in, not even glancing up from his book. "We all did. Thankfully, this place is real. A lot of us led incredibly difficult lives before The Chateau."
"I felt the same way when I came here," Darius chimed in, not even glancing up from his book. "We all did. Thankfully, this place is real. A lot of us led incredibly difficult lives before The Chateau."
Aspen nodded and smiled.
"It's just so magical" She said in awe.
River nodded in agreement. "It really is. And we haven't even seen the village yet."
He turned to Darius. "What's it like?"
"It's very renaissance-y," he replied. "The people who live there loved the medieval vibe and setup, especially with the Chateau right there, so everyone there decided to keep that up."
Aspen smiled.
"Oooo," she said excitedly "I can't wait to see it!"
"Mrs. Finch will probably allow it," Darius said. "As long as you go with someone who's been in the loop longer than you."
Aspen nodded.
"Cool." She said.
River heard a knock on the door and then Maya walked in, laying down on her brother's bed as if it were her own.
She took a snack from River's bag and ate it. "I'm bored. What're you guys doing?"
Aspen shrugged.
"Nothing really." She said briskly.
"I'm also bored." She added.
(I love your pfp of Nick)
"We have all the time in the world to kill," Maya said, finishing up the snack. "What do you guys wanna do?"
(thxs, I have like a bunch of separate ones of both Nick and Charlie so im probably going to be changing it a lot tbh)
Aspen smiled.
"Visit the village." She stated and looked around.
"Sounds great!" Maya said, already getting up. "We can go right now. Just don't mention to the townsfolk that you're from here, okay? They're really superstitious of this place."
Aspen nodded and sat up, slowly getting into a standing position.
"Okay," She agreed. "Got it."
"D, you want to tag along?" Maya asked, her body half in and out of the door.
"I'm good," Darius replied, going back to his book. "Have fun down there."
"We will," River smiled, following Maya out of the room.
Aspen waved goodbye to Darius and followed Maya and River.
She towered over them, but then again she usually towered over everyone.
"Should we invite a few others to join us too?" River asked Aspen as the three of then walked through the halls of the majestic castle.
Aspen shrugged and looked at Maya.
"I dunno." She said "what do you think Maya?"
"The more the merrier," she replied with a grin, changing direction and walking towards a part of the castle River hadn't been to yet. "We have a lounge/common room area, where everyone can just chill. A lot of people usually hang out there around this time."
Aspen followed easily.
"I think Janix mentioned something about watching TV in the lounge earlier." She told them "but i'm not sure."
"It's like the dungeons, but not underground," Maya said, approaching a set of doors. She opened them up, revealing a room full of practically every other person in the Chateau in it. They all quieted down and turned to the door, eyeing River and Aspen curiously and eagerly.
Aspen gave a small wave and blushed at all the eyes that scanned her while she stood in the doorway. Janix gave a charming smile from her seat on one of the sofas, beside Maxwell and gave her a wink.
"I have taken it upon myself to show these two newcomers the town outside of the valley," Maya announced, pleased that she had the room's attention. "Who wants to come with us?"
Maxwell was in the middle of raising his hand in the air, but Janix grabbed his wrist and quickly pushed it down.
"We'll go," said a small, timid voice from the back of the room. The peculiars in front of them parted to reveal two kids who couldn't have been more than 12 years old, one girl with unique wine red hair and a boy with short light brown hair, who smiled at Aspen and River shyly.
"Lily, Damien! That's great," Maya smiled as they both walked up to the front. "Anyone else?"
Aspen waved.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you both." She said sticking out her hand.
Damien waved back and shook Aspen's hand.
"Anyone else?" Maya repeated, scanning the room in case she missed anyone.
