Steve let out an exaggerated sigh, tilting his head back in a quiet groan. "Bucky," He said, raising his eyebrows, "You aren't responsible for what happened to you, can't you see that?"
Steve let out an exaggerated sigh, tilting his head back in a quiet groan. "Bucky," He said, raising his eyebrows, "You aren't responsible for what happened to you, can't you see that?"
Bucky looked over at him carefully. But if I'm not, who is? He shrugged slightly, looking down at his mug again. "I dunno."
"Well if you don't know…I'll tell you," Steve said with the faintest smile curving at his lips, sighing at the sight of Bucky's blue eyes, "Everything you did…you didn't want to do. They did. I think we both know that, at least."
Bucky shrugged again. "Yeah, maybe so." he replied slowly. "But…I still…" he sighed, shaking his head. "Sorry."
"It's okay," Steve said with a little nod. "I know that you're trying to make sense of all this…and I think talking it out– with me, is good." He said with a faint smile, letting his hand touch Bucky's, in reassurance.
(Gtg soon probably, sorry)
Bucky nodded a little bit. "Right. Okay."
Steve nodded back, trying to keep up the walls of his confidence to hide his worry. He took a sip of his tea, which smelled sweet and was warm on his tongue. "I was thinkin' about staying in for a bit," He said, "Maybe do some drawing, read a little."
Bucky nodded slightly. "Alright." he replied slowly, looking over at Steve. He took a sip of his own tea, thinking. He wasn't quite sure what else to say.
"You're…welcome to join me, if you like," Steve shrugged, glancing at his short stack of books, I need to stop thinking about the 'party.' "I don't think you've ever done origami before," He said with a smile.
Bucky shrugged a little. "I don't think I'll be any good." He replied softly. "But…I guess I could try."
"It's not that hard, you'll see." Steve smiled, "We used to throw paper airplanes around all the time when we were kids. 'Used to have little competitions to see who's could go the farthest."
(I gtg soon. Sorry!)
He nodded a little bit. "Hm. Alright." he replied. He was a bit worried that he would end up accidentally crushing the origami with his metal hand.
(it's cool!! gn!! happy spring break~?)
"Great," Steve chimed, taking a sip of tea and surveying the open room as he reached for the neat stack of origami paper, "Where do you think we should try it? Probably somewhere with a flat surface."
(Good night! ehh sadly no. I'm homeschooled, so I don't get a spring break :( )
Bucky shrugged, taking a sip of his own tea as well, looking around. "I don't know. Wherever, I guess?"
(mhh thats…oof?~ do you like bein homeschooled? )
"Hm, we could sit on the living room floor," Steve suggested, supposing that the soft carpet might be more comfortable than the dining table chairs.
(haha. Yeah most of the time it's fine ig)
Bucky nodded a little, getting up with the mug in one hand. "Alright." He replied simply.
(thats whack. also– not gonna be active, really, tomorrow= it's my birthday heh)
Steve nodded, picking up the origami paper and book, holding his tea in his other hand as he moved to the next room over, sitting down with his back against the foot of the couch.
(yeah lol. Alright! Happy Birthday!!)
Bucky sat down near Steve, carefully holding his mug in one hand. "Alright…" he trailed off. "What do we do?"
(thanks!!! me and frens are gonna drink fancy juice and eat expensive cheese!!very excited.)
Steve set his mug of tea down beside him, taking out a few sheets of coloured square paper and placing them in front of them before opening the book, "I've been practicing this one– it's a little crane."
(Np! Have fun!!)
Bucky nodded, and watched Steve's hands as the other man folded the paper sheets into a crane. He cocked his head a little bit, biting his lip.
(!!! :D!)
"Ta-da," Steve said in a sing-songy voice, holding the little bird in the palm of his hand and gently straightening out the wings. "It's really fun, once you get the hang of it," He said, smiling.
Bucky nodded, looking at the paper crane curiously. "Hm." he studied the bird, then picked up his own sheet of paper. "Show me how?"
"Mhm," Steve smiled with a little nod, trying not to focus too much on Bucky's eyes. He pointed to the first step in the book, "So the first thing you do is this– folding it this way."
Bucky nodded, and mimicked Steve's movements carefully. He had to be extra careful with his left hand, to keep from damaging the swan or the paper.
"Yeah," Steve nodded, smiling as Bucky folded the coloured paper. "And the last step–" He said, bending the little tip to make the beak, "There we go. You did it."
