Sh smiled and and pulled him down to lay beside her

Evan was a little surprised by the action but followed her lead, laying down beside her on the spare bed.

She barried her head in his chest

Evan smiled softly and held her gently.

She closed her eyes

Evan lightly kissed her forehead. ”Do you want to just lay here for a minute?”

She nodded

”Alright, beautiful.” Evan smiled.

She giggled at the nickname

Evan smiled again upon hearing her laugh and kissed her cheek.

She wrapped her arms around him

He hugged her closer.

She smiled

He smiled back. ”How are you feeling today? Any better?” he asked gently.

She nodded " yeah I feel better"

”Good to hear it.” he smiled at her, relieved that she was recovering.

" okay we can go back" she said

”Alright.” Evan agreed softly as he slowly sat up. ”Do… Do you want to try walking a little? I’ll still be here and supporting you but…” he offered with a small shrug at the end.

She nodded

”Ok.” Evan gently put his arm around her back so she could put her arm on his shoulder and lean on him as they stood.

She took a step but stumbled

Evan kept his arm around her so she didn't fall. ”You ok?” he asked, looking at her.

" I can't do it" she said

”It’s ok. There's no rush.” Evan said comfortingly. ”You’re still getting better but if it's too soon… Well, I'm fine with carrying you when you need it.” he smiled softly.

She groaned closing her eyes " I have a month to get back on my feet"
