River laughed slightly as his fingers intertwined with hers, "Well I'm worried about you."
River laughed slightly as his fingers intertwined with hers, "Well I'm worried about you."
"But why?" Abby asked out of instinct.
"Why? Because I care about you Abby," River blushed as he finished his sentence, "And I really really like you."
"Oh," Abby blushed. Her phone rang again, but she turned to the side, scowled, and threw it as hard as she could across the room. It hit the wall and landed with a smack on the floor. She looked back at River, her face much more gentle. "I really really like you too," she said softly.
River held in his laughter as she threw the phone. He blushed and said softly, "Um really?"
"Yeah," Abby said shyly.
River laughed nervously, "Is this the part where we kiss? Or is that after I ask you out? Cause I will totally ask you out."
"Y-You're asking me out?" Abby tried not to squeal.
"I-I mean if you want me too," River's face was bright red as a hand went to the back of his neck.
Abby giggled and leaned forward to kiss him softly on the lips, in other words, giving him her answer.
River was beaming as he kissed her back. He supposed they were boyfriend, and girlfriend now.
Abby giggled and pushed him back so he was laying on the couch on his back and she was laying on his stomach. She blushed, not sure if she should have done that.
River was blushing furiously as she laid essentially 'on' him. He wrapped his arms around her back. Maybe he should sit up? But, um, she didn't seem to mind. After all she's the one who got them like this.
"Sorry," she whispered tentatively.
"It's fine?" River's voice ended higher than it started.
"Did I make it weird?" she asked embarrassedly.
"A little," River admitted, "But not a lot weird, just a little weird."
"I always make things weird, I'm sorry," she whispered. Gosh, they were still so close.
"Like I said it's fine. And a little weird is always welcome," River wasn't moving. He couldn't move.
"Do you want to sit back up?" This was a huge mistake…
“I mean if you want to sure.”
Abby backtracked until she was sitting again. She couldn't look at River and her face was red. I always ruin everything…
River sat up and held her cheek, “Hey babe. It’s okay.”
"I ruin everything…" Her deepest fear. There is was. That she couldn't make anyone happy and that everything would fall to pieces because of her. It had been perfect until she poisoned it.
“You didn’t ruin it,” River assured her. She really hadn’t just surprised him, surprised both of them. He would make sure she knee that even with his last breath.
