"Sing it," she commanded.
"Sing it," she commanded.
River grinned as he started to sing, "It's fine by me, if you never leave, we could live, like this forever, it's fine by me."
Abby smiled. She loved that song. She let River sing on.
River was a shockingly good singer. The voice of a siren in a man. He kept on singing the sing.
Abby closed her eyes and listened peacefully.
River finished the song and asked, "Any requests?"
"Do you know Bruises by Train?" Abby asked.
River thought for a second, "Yeah. Sorry if I forget a word or two."
He started to sing again.
Abby joined in, singing the female part perfectly. "One that's give and one that's three. Been a couple hours since he left me." She kind of grinned at that part. Kind of grimaced too. "Good to know that you got free. That town, I know, was keepin' you down on your knees…"
River squeezed her side as she grimaced, he continued on singing the male part. Missing a word here and there, this was one he needed to hear more often.
"Everybody loses…. We all got bruises…" Abby finished, harmonized with him and looked up at him.
River couldn't help himself as he,kissed her forehead, "It's going to be alright Abby."
Abby blushed when River kissed her forehead. "Promise?"
River 's red dusted face smiled at her, "I promise."
Abby leaned into his chest and smiled. "Goodnight…"
"Already?" His laugh reverberated in his chest.
(Hello?)
(Sorry!)
"Yes," Abby giggled.
River groaned playfully, "But we just woke up."
"We have to work!" Abby exclaimed suddenly, sitting bolt upright.
River laughed as he got up and stretched, "Yeah, but not for a few hours right?"
"Oh…" Abby laid back down.
River looked down at her, "Are you hungry?"
"A little," Abby replied. She rolled off the couch. "I can make something…"
River gently moved her back to the couch, "Oh no. I'm the guest here, I can make the food. I'm not that bad of a cook."
