Kaitlin woke with a splitting headache. She winced and brought a hand to her head as if it would help the pounding that was occurring there. Standing carefully as to not blackout again, she tried to remember what had happened. After a few moments it did and her eyes widened as she walked into the light, and saw the scene before her. Police. The police had arrived but she didn't care, she wanted to know where Ava was, "A-Ava…?"
Ladon returned to consciousness, a healthy mixture of complete panic and unbridled rage. He slammed the floor with his bloody fist, the one he used to punch the thing, wincing in the process. The air was full of the smell, the taste of death, and he tried not to breathe it in.
His adrenaline, had left him completely. He gritted his teeth as he stood, his shoulder warm, and wet with blood.
Kaitlin looked around, Ava nowhere in sight and saw another guy who looked fairly injured. His shoulder looked messed up and she winced as she walked over to him, "Um… are you okay? Can I help you in anyway?" Kaitlin asked, trying to ignore her own pain.
"I'm fine." Ladon lied, honestly still pretty pissed. He walked around, looking for signs of life, before spotting the kid from earlier with someone near him.
"No… no you're not." Kaitlin replied, following him from at a reasonable pace, "Your shoulder isn't fine…"
"Relax." Ladon assured her. He made his way over to the others.
"Relax? How am I supposed to relax after that?!" Kaitlin argued as she followed him. After realising the snappiness in her voice she sighed, "S-Sorry…"
"Don't worry about it. I'm pretty passed myself." He said. His panic was subsiding. Even with the gore around them. He'd beaten people to a pulp before, and liked horror, so while he was less sensitive to this stuff than.others, he was still obviously affected. He now knew the color of human intestines. That would stick with him. He was surprised how calm he was.
He took a leftover table leg just in case thst thing came back, although it was probably gone.
"D-Do you think it'll come back?" She asked. Kaitlin swallowed and rubbed at her head. Gosh, did it hurt and she wasn't even sure if she'd hit her head or not. She let out a shaky breath and wrapped her arms around herself, trying to focus on the guy she was with and not the bodies around her, as well as the pain.
"Probably not." Ladon said. "But I can't be sure." He took a look around.
Kaitlin nodded, "Yeah… I guess that's true."
Ava saw Kaitlin talking to another person. She stood up a little to fast. She saw black for a second and her head hurt like crazy. She slowly walked to the others.
"Ava!" Kaitlin saw the other girl and quickly walked over to her, "A-Are you okay?"
“Y-yeah I’m fine just a little headache. How about you?” She asked looking her over for injuries.
"Major headache but other then that… fine." Kaitlin replied, giving the other a small smile.
“Alright good,” she said before taking a deep breath. She looked around and saw the police. She studied them carrifuly as they looked around.
"This is so strange…" Kaitlin mumbled, rubbing at her arm.
(Guys. GUYS. Everyone with powers woke up uninjured. The only injured people are either dead or not actual characters)
Ignoring the police officers, Leon kept his focus on Jamie. He placed a hand on his shoulder to let him know he was still there, and had no intentions of leaving.
“It’s okay. They’re not monsters. They’re police officers. E-everything’s going to turn out fine, yeah?” Leon reassured him, “Just breathe. We’ll get through this. We’ve made it this far.”
(Idk if you saw this, so I'm just gonna bring it down here)
(Oof sorry, I guess I didn't)
Jamie flinched away from the hand, but otherwise remained still. "It threw me at a wall," he said quietly. "My arm- my leg- what happened?"
“Your guess is as good as mine,” Leon sighed, “but I’m glad you’re okay. I’m glad both of us made it. We’ll figure out what happened. Let’s try to talk to some of the other survivors.”
Kaitlin sighed and looked around to see the mess and find any survivors, apart from the guy she was talking to earlier and Ava.
Ladon turned the corner, to spot the two boys against the wall.
"Come check this out girls." He said, rushing over to the boys.
