"What is it?" Nathaniel asked curiously. He let go of Cielle's hand to come up to Kace's side, looking down at the puppy. He put his hand into the cage like Kace was doing and giggled quietly when the puppy licked his fingers.
"What is it?" Nathaniel asked curiously. He let go of Cielle's hand to come up to Kace's side, looking down at the puppy. He put his hand into the cage like Kace was doing and giggled quietly when the puppy licked his fingers.
“This lil puppy?” Kace asked. “Looks like a little outcast to me— good thing I’m a fan of those. Not sure what breed, but hecka cute, huh?”
The man looked up at Cielle, his eyes seeming more charming and juvenile than ever. “Hey Ci, I found one I need in order to sustain my living— I require this dog.”
"Hello~" Nathaniel cooed, petting the puppy as best he could through the bars of its cage. He'd never really seen a puppy before, so he was fascinated. He seemed to like it, though.
“Wanna hold him, bud?” Kace asked the boy. “I’m sure we could take him out, cuz Imma buy him anyway, regardless if Cielle lets me or not. There’s something special, you think? I sure do.”
Kace, with the help of the lady in the shop, took the small terrier out of the cage. Its silver-grey fur slid through the man’s fingers as its diminutive tongue licked at his chin. It seemed extremely happy, and Kace sat down on the barren floor as the puppy danced around in his lap.
"Sure!" Nathaniel sat down in front of Kace and reached out one small hand to pet the puppy. His posture was noticeably excellent, something that likely had to do with his upbringing. Slouching wasn't exactly allowed where he was from. "What're you gonna name him, Mr. Kace?" He asked.
“No clue,” Kace chuckled as the scruffy puppy bounced over to the boy, noticeably clumsy and tripping over his own paws.
“You have any ideas?”
"Um…" Nathaniel pulled the puppy into his lap and examined it. "Calypso! Or… Hermes, or Zeus, or something cool!" The dog licked his cheek and he giggled again, hugging it.
“Zeus, huh?” Kace said with a wide smile. “Not too shabby— I like it. Zeus it is!”
The puppy could barely contain his excitement, jumping around and wiggling as much as possible.
Kace looked back to the lady who ran the store. “I’ll take this one.”
“You sure, that one?” she asked. “There’s a lot of other superior breeds—.”
“Nope! This one,” Kace replied, pointing a finger down. “100%.”
“Alright, I’ll just have you pay and then get you your complementary collar and leash.”
Kace hopped to his feet, brushing by Cielle with a wide grin and leaving the small puppy in the hands of the boy.
Nathaniel stood up with the puppy in his arms and trotted after Kace, a bright grin on his face. Considering Nathaniel himself weighed next to nothing, the puppy was a little heavy, but he didn't have any trouble with it.
(I actually did some quick calculations, and since Nathaniel has hollow bones and is also a good bit smaller than his fellow angel, he probably weighs about 15-20 pounds)
(Wow he’s… small)
Kace pet the terrier in Nathaniel’s arms as he waited, mumbling softly. He muttered a series of, “Hey there” and “Who’s a good boy?? You are!” Multiple times.
The lady held up a small leather collar that slipped on the pup with ease. Kace exchanged the money, as well as bought a small bag of kibble and a bigger one of treats. He let Nathaniel continue to hold Zeus as he cradled the food in his own arms. He looked at Cielle, anything but guilt on his face. She would have to deal with it. If she kicked Zeus out, Kace would be so ok with becoming homeless right alongside him.
(Nathaniel is bby)
Nathaniel held the puppy securely, and luckily, it stayed still for him. It could easily knock him over if it started struggling. His grin didn't fade, and he laughed whenever the puppy started licking his face. "How do we get his name tag?"
“Oh, right,” Kace said. “Thanks for reminding me.”
He turned to a nearby shelf, beginning to sift through small metal shards. His hand emerged slightly after, holding up a small lightning bolt.
“Seems fitting,” he chuckled. He handed the metal bolt over to the lady, and she continued to scratch in the dog’s name and contact with an adjacent machine. Shortly after, she handed it back.
Kace held it up for Nathaniel to see— small neat letters engraved right across the lightning. The man gingerly attached it to the puppy’s collar, the metal jingling as the pup wiggled happily.
Nathaniel sat down with Zeus so he wouldn't fall over with him in his arms, stroking him while the tag was put on. He found the leash they'd been given and attached it to Zeus's collar so he wouldn't have to worry about dropping him.
Lillith appeared back in her office in hell and sat at her desk. After staring at the wall for a second, she pressed a call button on her desk. "Erzus, get your ass in here. I have an angel for you to fuck up."
(Sorry yall, I had an exam then went to study for another which is tomorrow but I'll be on more now)
Cielle had gone to grab a couple things for her own pets, a new toy for Acyn, more millets for the birds, and food, medicine and alcohol the other good stuff. She came back with a cart of things only to find that Kace had already bought and named a puppy. "Oh come on! I was gone for five minutes!" She pouted. "Whatever, your gonna need some toys for this guy."
Kace just smiled with his naive charm, pumping his fist slightly.
“Alright alright. Nathaniel, any toys catching your eyes? See any Zeus might like?”
He swerved between shelves, fiddling with each toy and treat. Zeus began wiggling again and licking the small angel’s face.
Nathaniel kept grinning, though he was clearly starting to struggle holding the puppy. He stumbled after Kace and held Zeus up to the toys so he could see which ones the puppy liked.
Cielle laughed at Nathaniel and gestured at the dog. "Why dont you leash him?"
"Mm?" Nathaniel looked over his shoulder at Cielle. "Oh! Right!" He sat down with Zeus in his lap and found the leash, attaching it to the puppy's collar.
( yall, how should I come in? I'm sorry i haven't been active..school has been crazy and work has been even crazier..)
(At one point Lillith called your demon into her office.)
( Alrighty )
Erzus seemingly popped up right in front of Lillith, a frown on his face. His leathery wings began to flap behind him, looking down at the one who had summoned him.
"What?" He snapped, popping up in front of the other demon, his eyes narrowed.
“I was having an unscheduled lunch with a human and this angel shows up with her kid! It sounded like your kind of party,” Lillith said.
"A human?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at Lillith, he smirked crossing his arms across his chest, "How cute."
