A bright flash of light appeared in the living room and Nathaniel fell to the floor, seeming pretty dizzy. "Mmm…" He groaned softly. "Did I make it?" He looked up and spotted the demons, jumping to his feet. "Aha! I did it right this time!" He pulled out a simple sword and pointed it towards the group, grinning cheerfully. He seemed rather pleased with himself for the moment.
Liserli turned towards Nathaniel, her expression softening, but becoming stern. "Nathaniel, why are you here? There's a demon here!" she sighed. Then she added under her breath, "Because humans seem to make mistakes… way too often."
Kace sauntered out of his room, looking groggy as ever. His hair was a mess and dark circles tugged at his eyes.
“Why is everyone being so loud?” he asked, his sweatpants dragging on the floor as he shuffled to the fridge, completely disregarding the new members in the kitchen. “I’m trying to sleep, y’know.”
He shut the fridge slowly, turning around and finally beginning to assess the situation.
“Uh… Cielle… Darla…. why does our kitchen look like a costume party?”
Liserli just looked at Kace and sighed. "Why are humans so ignorant? There is a literal demon in your kitchen. Did you not notice that?" she asked, not looking for an answer. "Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, it's because this human here accidentally summoned a demon," she added, gesturing to Cielle.
"Demons and angels got through my wards and I am big angery." Darla muttered, lip turned up in a pout.
“Aren’t angels supposed to be nice?” Kace asked, genuinely confused. A tinge of sadness coated his words. While he was sleepy, he was very emotional.
“I can.. I can leave,” he mumbled as he stepped back to the dark hallway. “Yeah. Yeah I’ll do that.”
"Hey Kace, I made sandwiches." She said, pointing. Cielle had been in a very happy mood but now she wasnt sure if she was happy or not. "I didnt know I summoned a demon until she told me. She is a guest here until she wants to peace out so can you not?" She groaned, looking at the two Angel's. "Let's consider this house neutral ground, If I see anything out of place, I will start hitting people." She shrugged, eating the last but of her food.
Kace’s voice could be heard from far down the hallway. A muffled, “Okay.”
It was clear he had gone back to the cave he called his room. Most likely back to sleep, the can of Pepsi he had grabbed from the fridge still in his hand.
"Yes, ma'am!" Nathaniel put his sword away and went over to stand beside Liserli. "I'm in training!" He announced with a grin. He was tiny in comparison to the others, but he seemed to be both eager and capable. He'd followed the older angel to try and learn more about dealing with situations like this.
Liserli just shook her head, looking down at Nathaniel. "Nathaniel, why are you even here? You're literally only 8 years old, you should be back up in training… Earth is a dangerous world."
"I heard you were gonna go here, and I wanted to come too so I could learn!" His wings fluttered cheerfully. "I'm not very good at the whole teleporting thing, though… but I'm working on it!" He looked around the room, humming softly. "Who are you guys?"
(Wait wait wait you have not one, but two kittens?????)
"Okay. Two humans. One demon. Also, demons are dangerous. Especially for little angels like you, who haven't fully mastered whatever powers, such as teleportation. You could've ended up in a totally different human world area… what's that thing they call? Paris? Yeah, I think that's pretty far away from here," Liserli sighed again. "The best place for you to learn is up above, because then there's 0 chance of you getting hurt! But now that you're here… it'll be easier for me if you just stay here. That way I can keep an eye on you so you don't end up in Paris next time you try to come to the human world."
“Hey Cielle I know I totally didn’t warn you but these sons of bitches follow me everywhere I go.” She waved vaguely at the angels. “If you tell them to go they have to. It’s in their nature to do whatever humans like you tell them to because the big guy upstairs gets pissy if they don’t.” She turned to Darla. “As for your wards, they would do nothing for angels and technically I was summoned here. Plus I could probably get through them if I really wanted to enter the house.”
“Man, do you angels ever stop talking? Would you mind scolding the second grader at the pearly gates? Your caring righteousness is making me nauseous.” Lillith took another bite out of her sandwich angrily.
"Okay, language warning," Liserli warned Lilith. "You might be a demon, but we have a young angel here, who is innocent, and it'll be better for him to stay innocent."
Cielle stood up and walked to Nathaniel. "Hey kid, wanna come to the living room? These people are going to start arguing and I'd rather watch cartoons." She said, gesturing to the TV on the next room.
Kace immediately rocketed back to the kitchen.
“I heard cartoons,” he mumbled, swiftly sliding up next to Cielle. He looked much more awake now, but his hair was still tousled and messy.
“I’m down for cartoons.”
Lillith glared at Liserli in disgust. “Did you just ’language warning’ a fucking demon?” Lillith’s eyes went completely white. “Take the child to watch cartoons. I doubt he’d like to see me cut his nanny’s eyes out with a butter knife.”
"What are cartoons?" Nathaniel asked curiously, following Cielle and Kace. "And please don't cut Miss Liserli's eyes, miss! She needs those!" He seemed a little bit uneasy now, but he was overall okay for the moment.
Darla scowled, grabbing the demon's and angel's earlobes, pulling them down to her height. "What are you doing here?" She growled, seeming very threatening for a small woman. "Tell me before I grab a knife and cut off your ears."
Liserli just rolled her eyes, taking out a sword seemingly from behind her back (which looked something like this but glowing white). "You really want to start a fight, Lilith?
(That's pretty lol)
Cielle put and arm around Kace and took the seemingly younger angel to the living room but not before calling out, "If someone dies, I'm.calling the cops."
In the living room, some old episode of Spongebob was playing but Cielle was more focused on the conversation in the kitchen. She couldn't hear anything bad so far, but you never know.
Nathaniel was intrigued by the cartoon. It was pretty obvious he'd never seen anything like it before. "How does it work…?" He asked curiously, sitting very close to the T.V. as though he expected to find his answer by looking into the screen.
"Well, the TV runs in electricity and [insert how a TV works because I have no idea]. That's how that works. You can watch the same shows on a phone too, you just need the right application." Cielle explained.
