(Hey, can you give me one of Vien's fears? Alex can like read peoples fears and thoughts kind of and well stuff.)
(Hey, can you give me one of Vien's fears? Alex can like read peoples fears and thoughts kind of and well stuff.)
Vien glared at him slightly. "There is a point when you could be a-arrested at any minute," he grumbled, his foot tapping against the ground absently to hide his twitching
"And if so, what?" Seafra asked. "You think they would torture us for information? You think they would be able to arrest us in the first place?"
(oh, well, Vien is terrified of fire. he also hates getting attached to people out of fear they'll be taken away from them. he also doesn't like social situations/lots of people being around?)
( oh ok thanks.)
Alex stayed quiet as she read Vien's current thoughts and saw some fears surface. "You're scared of fire." She spoke out loud as the two were talking. "I can manipulate your fears and that includes I can read your current thoughts and fears." She quickly explained.
Vien whipped around, his icy stare fixating on her. "What?" he hissed, tensing slightly as he resisted the urge to go for his knife again. "You don't know w-what you're talking about," he growled
Seafra gave Alex a mildly interested look. "What are my fears?" he asked.
"You're scared of fire, you're also afraid of being attached to people. You're afraid that they'll be taken from you, if I'm correct. I also see that you're not a fan of social events and interaction." She guessed as she poked around in his mind as her eyes glowed a soft red.
Seafra gave Alex a mildly interested look. "What are my fears?" he asked.
( What are his fears?)
(Sorry, just realized I should have said xDD Death is his big one, that and growing old. Other then that, he's basically fearless.)
Vien tensed up. "Alright, thank you for v-violating my mind. If you have n-nothing else to say, I believe I should take my leave now," he hissed, moving to walk away from the group
Seafra gave Alex a mildly interested look. "What are my fears?" he asked.
Alex turned to look look at him, her eyes still radiated that soft red glow as they darted around. Her conscious went around his mind, picking at his thoughts. "Death and growing old, which is why you're immortal." She finally replied.
Seafra looked long into Alex's eyes, his face deliberately neutral. At last he turned away, and called out to Vien before he could vanish all together.
"You don't have to leave," he said. "I could hire you."
Vien spun on his heel, glowering at Seafra as he did so. "To do what? Be your l-little pet?" he spat. "I work alone, thank y-you." Though in the back of his mind, he knew he should probably be asking what for. He needed money, especially after he was forced to move to another apartment to keep his identity safe. His job was very draining at times
Alex quietly poked into his thoughts and understood why he was going to leave. "For once I can say the same here, I don't want or need a boss and I have to go back soon." She agreed before deactivating her weapon and strapping her shield to her back and turning to walk away. The camp needed her more then they did and who was she to trust a person she had just met.
"Oh please," Seafra snorted. "I don't need pets, those die. I need help. Paid help, because I don't have friends. You two enjoyed fighting the Flora, admit it. You've seen a taste of the things I'm hunting, and believe me there is more out there. It gets worse. It gets bigger, and it gets messier. I'm quite disgusted to say I physically cannot do this alone."
Vien stopped at the mention of money. He turned around slowly. "How much would your help be…p-paid?" he asked slowly, eyes narrowing slightly as he watched Seafra carefully
Alex turned around. "Why should I help you? Why don't you go get someone else to help you? Besides I have more things to do and places to go." She sternly replied before turning around and continued walking.
"Depends on how much my help helps," he answered, narrowing his eyes. "It would be very easy to gain a profitable sum from this. Perhaps a yearly of a hundred euro could be arranged."
At the amount of money, Vien's expression changed drastically. He walked back to Seafra, holding a hand out to shake. "You m-make it a yearly of a hundred pounds g-guaranteed, and I'll help you off as m-many of those things as you w-want," he said, his face near expressionless as he spoke
Alex overheard them discussing, but she didn't care about the money. She had a life, and a home and that counts for her. She didn't turn around and she didn't regret doing it.
"Fair." Seafra shook Vien's hand.
"You really have something that important to be off to, Alex?" he asked casually. "Your choice, but the offer stands."
Alex whipped around. "Well unlike you guys, I don't care about money. I have enough problems on my shoulders with the end of the world coming around and at least I have home and family and that counts for me and the fact I'm living." She snarled before continuing down the cold and dark streets. Astrid should be here soon. She thought to herself.
Vien folded his arms again, turning to look at Alex. She seemed like she could be good help fighting monsters and things, but he didn't particularly care if she joined them or not. The fewer the merrier, at least in his eyes
