Set in the modern day (probably either college or highschool age) either a lesbian romance or a gay romance - my character isn't out yet and claims that they're straight. It can either be guys or girls depending on what you want.
(ayeeeeee helloo I'll join?)
Cool do you want to do lesbian or gay? (your character doesn't need to be lesbian or gay, though, they could be bi/pansexual/anything that'll be a romance with them)

Do you wanna post a template or should I just use one i have

(Cool! So how do you want them to meet? Like season, place, situation?)
(I thought maybe someone could be bothering Kane about bein gay n stuff and then Dylan comes in and sMAcks em')
(K' where do you want them to meet? We could do something like in some park by his work or something)
(Errrr…..maybe like a courtyard or something where they can run away after?)
Kane was sitting on a bench on the far end of a courtyard. He was sitting with his dog Teacup. One of his old foster siblings, Jeremy, who was always mean to Kane asked Kane to meet him here. Kane was hoping that Jeremy was going to apologize to him for all of his bullying but instead Jeremy had taken this opportunity to just bully Kane more. Kane's eyes had glazed over and he was trying his best to ignore Jeremy who was shouting slurs at Kane and threatening him. Kane knew that eventually Jeremy would leave him alone - he was used to this.
Dylan was having an okay morning- which was rare because they usually started with him tired from only a few hours' sleep. But last night he'd gotten at least four, so his spirits were lifted, and he was enjoying his cigarette- which made it a fraction better as the early hints of fall were beginning to come. He walked up to the crosswalk connecting the campus' courtyard with the street, frowning when he remembered he couldn't smoke on school bounds. Dropping it and squishing the remains of his cig beneath his timberlands, he heard a noise. At first, it was faint, but as he half-jogged across the crossing, it became louder. Someone was yelling. Someone was yelling at someone for something Dylan promised he wouldn't let anyone else be a victim of if he could stop it. "Hey." He spoke calmly as he approached the man, right before aiming for his nose and hitting the bullseye. Dylan exhaled sharply, his knuckles still bruised from yesterday.
Kane quickly snapped out of his daze as Jeremy was punched in the nose - Jeremy's nose started to bleed and Kane nervously laughed. He was worried that whoever had taken Kane on would try and hit him too as many often did. Whatever Jeremy did Kane was always getting roped into it. Kane whinced and waited to get beaten up too when he realized that the boy wasn't trying to hit him. He looked from the boy to Jeremy who was still reeling from the punch and suddenly got up with Teacup and said nervously "T-thank you…."
Dylan looked down at the fallen body in front of him. God, that sounded eerie. His existential crisis was averted by the stuttered voice of someone nearby. It was the boy he 'saved'. At first, he didn't notice him, just the tiny dog he had- but he was met with beautiful eyes- nervous, anxious, scared eyes; but nevertheless the most beautiful. He was still panting from the run, and snapped out of it when he heard the door open.
"Scatter!" He yelled and gestured for the boy to follow him as he prepared himself for another run.
Kane took off, clutching Teacup tightly to his chest, he weaved around in the courtyard in a frenzy until he caught sight of the boy again and he took off after him. They ran until they were at least several blocks away before they finally stopped to catch their breath. Kane finally taking in the person who'd saved him. Kane felt his cheeks get rushed even more than they'd already been thanks to the run when he realized how cute the boy was. Kane coughed.
"I'm… I'm Kane. What's your name?" Kane asked trying his best not to mess up his words.
Dylan finally stopped and rested his arms on a telephone pole to catch his breath. He smiled his iconic half-smile and told him "Dylan." He reached out one hand, meeting Kane's eyes again.
Kane took Dylan's hand and hesitated for a second before he quickly shook it, trying his best to hide his blushing.
"Thanks again… for what you did back there." said Kane nervously as he put Teacup down to stretch her legs.
"No..Problem." Dylan winced in between, feeling the added pain of the new bruises forming on his left hand.
"How about you, you 'kay?" He cursed himself for his accent and lack of proper pronunciation. (brb)
(Talk to you when you get back) Kane looked at Dylan's bruising hand with worry.
"I'm f-fine. Are you okay? Your hand looks really b-bruised. Come with me, w-w-we have to get some ice on that." said Kane as he took Dylan's good hand and lead him to his little apartment right next to a small supermarket.
"I have a bag of frozen p-p-peas that should help with the swelling." explained Kane.
"Thank you, but I think I'll be fine." Dylan nodded politely. "This stuff- happens all the time." He said a little quieter, he didn't want to trouble him, he was probably still shaken up about that. "Wait," He paused. "Did you know that guy? What if he comes back for you?" Dylan was surprised at his own words, why was he worrying so much? He barely knew this person. But, maybe it was the way he spoke, the way he immediately wanted to worry about Dylan's hand above everything else- it showed Dylan strength, kindness, and the way his eyes raced around worriedly, reminded him of the days where his parents would fight and he would climb out his bedroom window, looking for an escape. Maybe Kane was looking for an escape too.
