"Your really surprised by this, most of the crew I have never even seen sober once. That's pirate's for you." Sally remarked.
"Your really surprised by this, most of the crew I have never even seen sober once. That's pirate's for you." Sally remarked.
"Alright, fine. I'll go," Eleanor agreed reluctantly. "But you can't force me to drink any more than I want to."
"Fair." Sally agreed she had cooled down a bit but was still angry. She didn't even know why she was still mad she had been working on ships for money for 20 years and met a thousand people exactly like Eleanor but their was something different about Eleanor that she couldn't place her finger on.
(Lets debate! Should we have an attack soon either from the law other pirates.)
(I'm down for either! Oooh, but if y'all want some tea on Eleanor's backstory, you should make it the law. Also, what time period is this set in?)
Eleanor was newer to being a pirate, but she'd had many encounters with people similar to Sally as well – especially prior to becoming a pirate. But her abilities on the ship had proved useful to the crew, and that's why Neva had made her the first mate. Not one person on the boat knew of her past, and she planned on keeping it that way.
(It is set around the same time as pirates of the carribian so old timey)
"Ok" sally sneered "lets get the next barrel then we will basicly be done." She said heading upstairs. She was thinking about Eleanor and what she thought of her. She wasn't so fond of her but she it wasn't really hate either.
(Perfect! That's what I guessed!)
"After you, darling," Eleanor said as Sally hurried up the stairs. She followed, her long black skirt swishing around her shins, showing off her calves.
(I want to make neva and sally old friends is that ok with you @brave_soldier ?)
( sorry I fell asleep XD)
Neva was helping around, not lifting Barrels but just all around cleaning up. She hadn't noticed her crew coming up, her left arm exposed with the chemical burns up her arm " ow.."
Sally walked up and saw Neva helping clean around a bit. "Hey captain we finished all of the daily chores and the rest of the crew is still pretty hung over but a few are starting to wake up. Do you have anything we can do or can I head bellow deck to the crew cabin?" She asked wanting to finish what she had been working on for years.
neva jumped hard enough to slam her head off the banister " god damn it!" she yelped " yeah sure, go ahead!" she said and she tried to cover her arm quickly
Eleanor heard the noise and the shout. Neva's shout. She quickly rushed over and took in the scene. "What happened?" she asked her captain worriedly. "Are you hurt?"
" fine, im fine" she said and held her head.
Eleanor noted the movement and guided Neva away from where she hit her head. "Holding your head while saying your fine is not very convincing, Neva," she murmured in a quiet voice.
" sorry." she mumbled and leaned into Eleanor. she used her sleeve to cover the burn in time
"Don't apologize, I'm just worried. That was a nasty hit." Eleanor was a bit shocked how quickly Neva leaned on her. The movement was slightly intimate, or maybe that was just the first mate's mind racing as she lead Neva back to her quarters so she could sit.
neva sighed " give me a minute and ill get back up.."
"But you need to sit down first," Eleanor pointed out, opening the door and guiding Neva to her desk chair so she could sit. "Do you need anything?" she asked once she made sure Neva was seated and comfortable.
" yeah, you to stay in here with me." she said and laid her head down
Eleanor felt her face flushing. "Oh… um… alright…" She lowered herself into another chair beside Neva and tossed her dark hair over her shoulder. She was tempted to braid it, but she refrained for the time being. She'd do it later, when she didn't have a gorgeous pirate captain sitting in front of her.
Sally walked down toward the lower cabin to the only desk and chair in the large room. All the crew mates slept bellow deck while first mate and captain had there own cabins. Sally didn't mind much after 20 years of it. She sat down, took a piece of paper out of her pocket, and unfolded it. It was a map of the whole world.
After her parents died when she was five she dreamed of saving up enough money to buy her own ship and sail across the world on the adventure of a lifetime. All by herself. She had been going from ship to ship working as a crew member for money. She had saved up a good amount but not enough. She had also been planning the exact route she was going to take. Someday it would be just her and the open sea.
neva slipped one of her hands into eleanors. she interlocked their fingers,
Eleanor smiled shyly. "I was so worried to tell you," she admitted. "I like to be certain of things, and… love is the most uncertain feeling in existence."
As Sally sat there charting waters her mind wandered elsewhere and eventually came back upon Eleanor. She still had no clue what her feelings were about her. She normally can tell what she thinks of a person just by hearing them talk but with Eleanor she was very uncertain about it.
She could get along fairly well with her at one point and the next be pissed at her in 0.5 seconds. And yet she still didn't know if she liked or disliked her. When people get drunk they tend to show there true colors so if Eleanor got drunk enough tomarrow night she could find out.
" tell me bout it." she said and smiled.
