Bernadette blushed, laughing along with Eleanor's sweet, musical voice as she gazed into her eyes. She had never related to, or shared this much emotion with anyone else
Eleanor smiled softly. "I meant about Neva. Should I talk to her? Wait for her?" She bit her lip, hesitant to decide.
Etta looked down, unsure and feeling less than helpful. She sighed, shrugging as her lips pursed and she looked back up at Eleanor.
"I think… I think you both might need time to think." She decided
Eleanor inhaled swiftly through her nose. "I think so too… I'll wait for her to talk to me. If she has nothing to say, she won't come, and if she does, she will. I'll know where she stands either way."
Etta nodded, tenderly rubbing Eleanor’s soft hands.
“Where do you think she’ll stand?” She blurted
Eleanor jerked her head to look at Bernadette with wide eyes. “I…I have no idea. What makes you ask that?”
Sally woke up. She was still tired and very disappointed to see it was still dark out. She sighed and chose to go and talk to Eleanor. She had to help settle this or else she would become part if the problem.
neva was pacing her room, her door ajar as she thought about what to do. the small snapping sounds of a rubber band could faintly be heard. it was something she did to help the anxiety that usually built up. though shed never do it infront of her crew
Bernadette flushed, turning away quickly as she haphazardly covered the side of her face. "I… I didn't mean to ask that. Oh god… I'm sorry, my lady."
Eleanor flinched a bit internally, but her exterior remained stoic. Please, God, don't call me that… "You don't have to apologize… it was hardly out of line, I suppose…"
Etta was embarrassed, absolutely mortified at her quip. That was much too personal, and as much as she thought Eleanor was the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen, or the fact that she was so comforting, or the ability to be so open… She shook her head. No. No!! What am I doing??
Eleanor quickly noticed the expression on Etta's face, and she quickly gripped the girl's shoulders with worry in her eyes. "Darling, why do you look so horrified. I'm sorry if I… frightened you?" she asked, a bit confused as to what was making Bernadette so anxious.
Bernadette looked up, softening at Eleanor's touch as her eyes resumed a calmness.
"No I'm… You're not frightening at all. Hell, you're perfect, I just… Oh god…." She mumbled, tearing her eyes away from Eleanor's delicate features
Eleanor blinked and slowly released Bernadette from her grip. "Darling… I'm not perfect. In fact, there have been a multitude of times when I've felt the furthest from perfection than anyone in the world… why did you say that?"
Sally walked up to Eleanor's room and knocked quietly hope if she was asleep that she didn't wake her. "Hey Eleanor," Sally asked "if you are awake can we talk? Please?"
Eleanor looked from Bernadette to the door, and then back to Bernadette. "I'm sorry, but I need to talk with her," she murmured. "We aren't finished with this conversation though." With that, she paced over quickly to the door and opened it minimally to see Sally. "Yes?" she asked shortly. "What do you want?"
Bernadette stayed silent, nodding gently as she watched the elegant woman stride towards the door.
Sally looked down and started fidgeting with her hands. "Umm well I want you to know that I uh I didn't really know about you and Neva and I never I never would have done. . . what I did if I knew about you two and I am. . . completely and truly. . . sorry." Sally said. She was starting to tear up a little she was also struggling to get her word out. She hadn't looked at Eleanor once. Sally started to walk away.

Bernadette watched sheepishly, wringing her hands together as she watched the exchange. The tension was high across the whole ship, apparently
Eleanor pursed her lips as she listened to Sally speak, however, her features softened when she heard that Sally hadn't known about her relationship with Neva. "Sally, wait," she called to the girl, reaching out to catch her wrist. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply. When she exhaled, her brown eyes opened and met Sally's earnestly. "It isn't you that I'm mad at. I promise," she admitted.
Sally looked up at Eleanor with teary eyes and gave a soft smile. "Thank you." She whispered before running up and giving Eleanor a hug. It wasn't a second later tears streamed down Sally's face.
